Who is your favorite Internet Marketer, and why?

Hey haven't seen a thread like this for a while!

So who is your favorite marketer and why?

Here's some personal ones that I've found to be starting with:

Kenster: Love that he teaches what he actually does. Also he doesn't constantly try to sell to his students (actually since he doesn't, I now wish he would... so I could swipe some of his copy LOL)

Daegan Smith: I'm not actually in his course but enjoy his stuff that's freely available.

Russel Brunson
Rich Schefren
John Thornhill
Kelly Felix and Mike Long: The BringTheFresh crew are also great

I've left out quite a few but that's who pops into mind

Please add who and why you like them

Edit: How could I forget Frank Kern!

Anyone who is honest. There are too many chancers in this business.

    Easily Frank Kern.

He's entertaining, charismatic, helpful, and on top of it, the stuff he gives away for free is better than what most "gurus" sell as a product.

I have a LONG list. Top ten or so would be:

    Brad Gosse
    Colin Theriot
    Josh Anderson
    Dr. Ben Adkins
    Stephanie Henry
    Sean Sheehan
    Dennis Becker
    Rachel Rofe
    Eric Louviere
    Paul Myers
    John Thornhill
    Omar Martin
    Lee McIntyre

I guess that's honestly more like a dozen. And there are a lot of people it pains me not to have on that list - I keep thinking "wait, Brad Spencer" or "wait, Sarah Russell" or "wait, Kim Castleberry" and then there's E. Brian Rose and Bryan Zimmerman and Sam Stephens and Mike Kotzakolios and Andy Fletcher and Jason Moffat and Caleb Spilchen and, and, and, and.

I could probably make a list of several hundred.

There's this perception that the internet marketing field is full of liars and scammers and cheats and frauds, but it's just not true. Look in the pool on any given day, and yeah, it's 90% scammers. But filter out the people who have been in that pool for two years, and it goes straight to 90% honest. Filter out the ones who have been there FIVE years, and you've got 90% sheer badass.

Most of the people in the pool are not really in business any more than some guy working at McDonald's is. Filling out an application and showing up at work does not make you part of an industry.

Said perfectly. I think you find more cool and on the level people in the business community than any other area of life - the successful one know the value of setting goals, self discipline, dealing fairly with people. There are plenty of scum, but you have to think about the sheer volume of people in "the business" and think in relative terms.

It's pretty cool how some people vibe with certain personalities and others with other personalities!!

Luckily it's pretty easy to spot the marketers who truly care about delivering and sharing great, actionable, valuable stuff. Unfortunately it seems like they are in the minority sometimes

I agree with this, you can spot the fools a mile off! I get a lot of satisfaction from helping others. This business is like the WildWest, people need help to make the right decisions otherwise they are exploited.

Frank Kern - for sure is no.1 for me, he introduced me to the notion list building and he's damn funny.
Andy Jenkins - ye ol' cuzin Andy is funny and has some pretty cool stuff on his blog.
Jeff Walker - you gotta love the person who revolutionized product launches.
Eban Pagan - I liked him and David DeAngelo way before I knew they are the very same person.
Matt Bacak - his life story and business etiquette really resonates with me.

And of course warriors like Alexa Smith and Jarrett really inspire me.

    Cheers!

Luckily I've seen a lot more marketers putting out good stuff. Maybe it's just that I am biased towards marketers who know their stuff. I remember when I first got into this industry, everything I read or bought was like...really, there is NO value in that! haha

  • Actually, I am my favorite Internet Marketer! lol (seriously, I am).

As far as the well known guys go, I've learned more from John Reese than anyone else. Traffic Secrets was a revolutionary course for it's time. It was the first course that truly amplified what I was making at the time.

I've gotten to know John a bit over the years so this adds to why I like him. For the money I've spent, he's delivered the best value to me.

I can't say that ANY of the other major IM guys (including the MOST successful ones) have challenged me to think in new ways. John was the only one that actually taught me to think about things differently.

Frank Kern - Classic marketer in the sense of marketing, adapts it very well online.

Neil Patel - Has moved into more recurring revenue models, and the great thing is he is solving a pain point for businesses. For which his income will continue to grow even if he stops marketing it.

My favorite internet marketer is me. I'm sure I'm not as good at it as the folks being mentioned here, but I'm wary of hero worship. If you are here to learn, the message is what is important, not the guru. The people I have learned the most from are not well known, and experience has been my best teacher.

Brad Callen for me. You won't find a more ethical, honest and friendly marketer. He creates fantastic products and good prices and supports them tremendously. Having worked for him, I feel much more comfortable saying this too.

He doesn't promote junk; doesn't fall into the "syndicate" crowd and is just an all-around good family guy. I think I own almost all his products and they were worth every cent.

He just has this way of cutting through all the sales hype and gets down to the core of the IM Business. Really brings clarity to you need to do.

    Joe Lavery

This dude is just amazing. Everything that I have learned from him has tripled the income from my business. He lays it all out there, and is willing to push the boundries. Not as well known as any of the others already mentioned, but he is one of the ones that the Big Guru's hire for their campaigns.

This thread reminds me of trading baseball cards when I was 10 years old.

Or watching American Idol and every 14 year old girl in the crowd is holding up a sign.

Your favorite Internet marketer (outside of yourself) should be the ones that either send you traffic or create high converting offers that make you money.

Anything else is just a groupie mentality.

  • That is such an easy one for me to answer because my favorite Internet Marketer is also a close personal friend and he is Chris Farrell. We love him because he taught me so much about starting an online business and all the many tasks that are essentail to start making money online the right way by proving a service and giving people what they want.

Today there are still far too many who are only interested in adding more money into their own pockets with very little if any regard to the aspirations of thousands of others desperate to get a piece of the Internet Marketing money pie? Chris quite rightly teaches in his membership which we subscribe and belong to that the focus should be on problem solving and doing it this way will eventually bring in the money.

He does regular pure content only webinars, unlike 99.9% of others who only do sales pitches for a product with very little useful information so that is why we rate him the best. Just wanted to add my piece to this thread and also wish to add it's horses for courses and everyone should stick to whoever helps them to success without charging them an arm and a leg to do so?

Seasons greetings to one and all and a very prosperous new year.

    Regards from Stephen & Jennifer.
