New Traffic Generating Ideas

I have spent a lot of time utilizing almost every traffic generating source I can think of. Here is what I currently have:

Social Networking site including
1. Facebook - 4k Likes
2. Twitter - 14.5k Followers
3. Tumblr - 100 Followers
4. Pinterest

Blog Commenting
- I typically use Yahoo Answers and I answer 18 questions every day.
- I try to comment on blogs that relate to my website but finding very few that can 1. drive traffic , 2. accept my comments.
- I frequently try Reddit, but hits are not very numerous

SEO Content
-I try to write at least 6 articles a day focusing on new and upcoming key words. I have been able to reach 1,000- 2.5k search engine referrals a day.

Videos
-I have created numerous videos to attract audiences, but I barely get any hits enough to make a difference.

Advertising
-I am trying to be cheap as possible in order to save money for the website. So, I am not interested in spending money on advertising.

E-mail list building
-I have well over 2,500+ subscribers.

I am able to obtain $40 to $60 dollars a day off of Google Adsense alone and I would like to make $100 dollars a day, which I think would be possible by increasing traffic.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

If your goal is it increase revenue, I would suggest replacing Adsense with a more expensive offer, either CPA or an affiliate product. Adsense tends to be the lowest paying. Next is CPA, then affiliate products, then your own product.

If you're getting good, consistent traffic, you might consider just putting together some $7 (or $17) short reports that are targeted toward your visitors.

Thank you for your help. I was accepted into Google Affiliates earlier this year. I will add Netflix Affiliates and see how that will increase my revenue.

Do you think it is possible to make $100+/day by adding CPA advertising without increasing the number of hits?

Are you submitting your articles to directories as well in order to have them syndicated and to benefit from all the links and traffic that those could bring in?

If you have the right offer then yes I believe you can make $100+/day but they only way to find out is to test it out.

Good luck and let us know how you progress!

Although I know most of the things you've shared, what interests me is that blog commenting part. I totally missed that. Yes, indeed, I could post on sites like yahoo answers. thanks!

    press releases and article syndiation.

I have a site getting 20k uniques a day just doing this!.

Yes it took a while, but the sales and subscribers coming from this is awesome. And no its not in the IM niche.

I know 3 warriors doing very well just form article syndication alone, and one multimillion dollar biz from sydnication alone with killer content. Make sure its killer content, but if you syndicate this well you can kill it.

I do press releases now, for extra boostings. And PPC also.

  • Coolidge Effect,

This isn't a "new" traffic generation strategy though, but what about guest posting? You can establish content contribution partnerships with owners and webmasters of relevant, heavily trafficked, non-artificial authority blogs. We've been doing this for our clients for a long time, and we recently opened this in our per-order department...

Look at the US traffic stats of this site and this one in www.compete.com, and the Google PR, Alexa rank (significant for tech sites) and SEMRush stats of those two sites in www.rankchecker.com -- We've been developing content for these two sites and constantly implementing guest posting campaigns since 2010. These are the things we do to implement guest posting campaigns:

Go to www.technorati.com/blogs/directory to get a list of top authority blogs closely related to our target niches. Go to www.compete.com to get US traffic stats of those blogs (and optionally to www.rankchecker.com to get Google PR, Alexa rank and SEMRush stats). Then:

Study the most relevant, most recent and most popular posts (in this order of priority) in those blogs with significant US traffic stats (and optionally Google PR, Alexa rank and SEMRush stats). Compare those posts against your onsite content. Next:

Develop guest posts that will serve as:

    (1) Excellent follow-up content for the most relevant, most recent and most popular posts in those blogs; and also as

    (2) Subtle yet compelling "trailer" or "preview" content for your onsite content...

That's it. Study the logical framework of the things I said above, and test it out if you believe it's worth your while.

I know you say you're not interested in advertising, but let me put this to you. Just say you find a related niche website with Adsense ads on their site that's getting a decent amount of traffic. PM the website owner, and briefly ask: "Hi there, I'm wondering how much money you're making from your Adsense ads per day? I have a business proposition for you that could make you even more money per day. Yours sincerely, [your name]" Or something like that. Make it personalised and real so they notice.

If you get a reply and say they're earning $3 per day from Adsense (or whatever it suitable for you), ask them to put a banner of your website in that same location, or above the fold and say you'll pay them $5 or $10 for that day as a test run.
Track your results, and if you're happy with the amount of traffic and conversions you received for that day, ask them to put a permanent spot for your ad on their website. and pay them x amount per week or month or whatever via PayPal. You should be making a handsome profit You can do this all over the web, and make great money in the process. It's a win/win.

      Hope that helps

Thanks for the advice. But, I am trying not to spend money on advertising. Not until I have been able to make 150+ or more a day.

I appreciate all the feedback. It seems that my traffic has been taking a decrease over the past week and I am still trying to figure out ways to change this around.

I average around 10k+ sustained traffic a day. But, I would like to increase it. It seems that I hit a plateau. What used to work has no longer become profitable.

It seems to happen. But thats something that makes internet marketing interesting, there are always new methods coming up and one should be prepared to learn all the time to be successful. Take a break and come back refreshed, theres lot more possible. There are methods to further improve traffic and lot more to learn.

I must say you are doing a lot already. As you said you are already getting 10k+ sustained traffic a day I would suggest to try different ways to monetize the traffic.

        Few ideas
        Cpa offers
Affiliate products (ebooks, video, etc from clickbank)
        banner ads
        amazon products

Hell, you can launch a wso and show others how you are getting so much traffic..

If you want to make some money you should create your own digital product. Create an ebook with a video course upsell. Provide a ton of value. You could crush it with traffic levels like that! Get to it :-)
