Promoting ClickBank Procuts vs. High Ticket Items

Ok so I have a question that I im looking to get some clarity on.

Why would someone promote an Item on Clickbank with a $40 commission vs. promoting a High Ticket item with $300+ commissions?

If it takes the same amount of time to setup a campaign, and the conversion ratios dont really change as much as long as you do your research. Then why not promote something that gives you more?

I am really confused. Do high ticket items not convert as well?

I know I need to do some testing, but Im asking for those with experience.

Thanks friends

  • I agree with you why not make more. People are more likely to pull out their credit card on a $37 item vs $300. Which is why marketing funnels are built. $37 front end product, $97 upsell, $197 upsell, $500 upsell, and it keeps going. I personally would never settle for super low per person earning potential but some do. I would not of made the $1,000 days without a high ticket item that paid me 100%.

Selling the high-ticket items, as Jimmy explains just above, is typically about a sales funnel and gradually selling higher-priced items to "returning customers".

I think the commonest reason is that most affiliates have a fairly strong perception that much lower-priced items are going to be much easier for them to sell. As you rightly say, it doesn't necessarily have to be that way, but given the ways in which the "average affiliate" promotes and sells products, in reality they may often be right (albeit that there may also be elements of "self-fulfilling prophecy" and "self-imposed limitation" about it, too).

The conversion-rates, however, do change significantly according to the affiliates' continuity-processes with their subscribers.

    • Yes, I understand for email marketing. But using different methods of traffic getting? PPC and PPV?

i've also noticed that this is a very sensitive subject. no one wants to give away whats working for them

  • Hi, there is high ticket products to promote on clickbank, you just to have find those.
Yes and with those are bit difficult to get conversions, but not impossible.
Look at Ewen Chia´s products example
  • Because they think that it would be much easier for them to make that low end $40 sale.

They don't think that people will take out their credit card and spend $300+ for anything.

Just as you can sell a product for $40, you can sell the same for HIGHER price.
