The Newbie Thread - Hopes, Fears, Successes & Failure

Hi all, total newbie here with my first affiliate site having gone live in the past few days.

I'd like to use this thread for fellow beginners to share their experiences - what's working for you, what isn't, what your plans are and what got you going etc etc etc.

I'm working on clickbank affiliate sites to begin with. I ploughed through many courses and youtube movies but finally just made a website. I think the fear of failure held me back so it was good to get my first site up and running. I picked bits from AffiloBlueprint, CB Evolution and WFNH to get up and trunning.

Be good to hear from anyone else in the same boat, to share the ride and maybe make some new friends.

Thanks

Neil

    Hi, Neil
I have been for about two years before joining warrior forum, I have built sites and site and been studying some SEO techniques as well as CPA, SEO link building methods and so on.
I have some affiliate websites that make me money and a valuable income nowadays.
The path is still long to overcome, and I know by being a beginner it could be hard to distinguish quality products that teach you things the right way, since you have to be careful about what you read, but by leaving out this the hidden secret to succeed is studying, testing and working hard.

Hope this helps to get a cleaner idea.

    Giuseppe.

Promoting clickbank products with an affiliate site is a good way to get started. You'll learn some valuable lessons such as setting up your website, basic copywriting, list building (very important!) etc.

As always, keep learning, testing and improving your marketing and you'll get the results you're after. Good luck!

Giuseppe do you have any examples of sites you've created that I can have a look at for some inspiration?

Thanks very much for the advice - greatly appreciated from you both.

Congratulations on creating your first site and taking action, please continue to do this! The most important thing you should do is build a list. If you're not building a list then you're not growing a business. If you don't get some sort of subscription from your visitors then it means all your hard working getting them there in the first place was all for nothing. You might make a few sales out of it, but in the end you'll make a lot more with your list.

Also, please don't make the mistake most newbies make, searching for SHINY OBJECTS. All the end of the day there is no secret key, it comes down to hard work, consistency and the right methods.

My only advice for now is to focus on getting really good at driving traffic to your website. Choose 1 or 2 methods and master them. 2nd focus on creating high quality content to your visitors. BUILD A LIST from the beginning. You will hear this as you continue to grow that the "Money is in the List." All that means is that people don't trust people and need to be warmed up to buy stuff from you.

I've been in IM for quite some time now, I've seen great results...though when I was starting out way back...I thought this career is my express ticket to success... I was filled with, hope, excitement and expectations... It wasn't that ecstatic seeing reality that IM was never easy as many IM people are saying... But as time goes on, I realized that it is infact easy when you know what you're doing, when you surround yourself with people who are doing business with you and not turning you into their business....you'll be fine..

Congrats for being a affiliate marketer anyway, Starting up is little bit hard and I'm in clickbank for 2 years and i don't owe a domain or hosting due to capital, So i hope that i'll owe a domain and hosting next year btw i have been in clickbank for 2 years with mu subdomain blog and i earned $138.02 with my one niche blog but it takes so much time, i mean it's took 3 months, So keep in touch with forums and learn new SEO techniques and rank up the keywords on search engine you might get automated sales you should stay survive don't give up until you success
