How To Monetize From A Betting Portal

I see that here are many US members so for them, making money within the online betting industry is not very appealing to them.

But for non-US online entrepreneurs, I see by my own experience, that being an affiliate for online gambling programs can be a great passive income.

Predictions for growth of internet users of online gambling websites, forums, betting contest are also very stimulating.

And this is why I'd like to start a discusion about making money as a webmaster with gambling content.

I myself have launched a betting tipster contest portal with cash prizes at BetRoof.com and you all are welcome to tell me your thoughts about the outlook, design, content, placements of advertising banners or whatever you'd like to tell regarding this betting portal.

But not to sound like just promoting my website, I do want to hear your suggestions how to monetize from running a betting website.

This is why I'll start with my suggestions:
1) Putting banners of online bookies with your affiliate link
2) Creating additional advertising spaces on strategic places on a website and offer potential advertisers to rent advertising space for a predefined time or predefined number of pageviews
3) Going into traffic exchange with other webmasters within betting niche and of course not promoting your competitors but complementary websites. For instance if I run a tipster contest site then I'll want to do a traffic exchange with a livescore site.
4) Offer a doze of interactivity that will make your visitors to check your website every few hours and this will get you also new and fresh content.

So far I've done most of this suggestions on my tipsters contest portal BetRoof.com and now I look forward with anticipation to hear your suggestions.

Affiliate Programs for Gaming IS VERY lucrative. A couple years ago, I was making more money as a gambling affiliate than all of my other niches combined.

Then the US law with its hazy and obscure views on how it would handle US affiliates came out (which I had a lawyer look at it and he stated that the jargon in the law made it so that if they wanted to, they could go after affiliates if they chose b/c it was written so loosely).

I have found ways around it but the law has cut my gaming affiliate income in half. On a side note, I think that this will change once a democrat gets back in office.

I hope for US residents that after this elections, that congress will get smart and realize how much money they are turning their backs from.

Online gambling is one of the fastest growing online industry and people will bet no matter what law you'll have in US.

Just think of prohibition and alcohol consumption.

Now with US being in financial crisis they can't afford not to take taxes from online gambling. I belive online gambling companies would be willing to agree on a deal to be able to offer their business to US clients.
