    Hi,
I use a site named Easyoutsource. You can find cheap and good labor there.
There is no middleman also . Just contact them on Skype, and remember to have some kind of education ready for them about your niche or market that you want them to work in. Also Video instructions for the work they need to do is a very good way to have them up n running fast.

    Good luck!

      Hi Ammaring,

Places like oDesk and Elance can be good, but you might end up hiring someone that gets low pay and of course, the same type of work gets done - below your standards.

I am a Virtual Assistant located in Canada and would love to help you out.

Please let me know if I can schedule a 10 min. call with you to discuss your Virtual Assistant needs.

    Hi,

I always recommend the trade organization for Virtual Assistants in the US. It's at IVAA - International Virtual Assistants Association. You can find some VA's that live in rural areas who do great work at lower prices.

    Hi Ammaring,

Elance.com and guru.com work well for me to get ebook/report written and technical stuff completed.

Odesk.com works well for me in the SEO and backlinking services.

Just to point out that there are always sites around for you to get the virtual assistant or job done...but the only concern is always to find the RIGHT one for the job. I do hope that you get what I mean. Just a few following pieces of advice to pick the right one:-

    1. The VA must be clear and concise of what you want and to detail exactly the experience they have and how can it be apply to your requirements.
    2. Ensure that the VA provides few references, prefer to have three references, and two of which should be current clients.
    3. Ensure that the VA provides a link to his/her website and you will be able to relate a lot of his/her personality.
    4. A contract and confidentiality agreement.

    Hope it helps...

    Talk soon,
    Ray

    Hi,

The more important question IMO is not what site to find a VA on, but what country should a VA be hired from?

You can find the best site to hire someone (whatever that is and whatever that might mean), but if you are looking to hire someone from offshore then my suggestion based on years of experience is to hire a Phillipino 100% all the way!!

They are extremely dedicated and loyal, severely hard working, very efficient, and care about satisfying their employer deeply.

    Best of Luck,

    Justin

      Thanks Justin.

I don't mean to sound bias but in addition to that, the Philippines is recognized as one of the top and ideal countries when it comes to global outsourcing industry.

This industry has developed speedily since it covers the elements critical to outsourcing for both service providers and customers.

To name a few, these comprise large-scale people resources, with an estimate of half-a-million English-speaking students graduating from colleges and universities yearly, interpersonal warmth, a richly deserved reputation for excellence in communication skills, customer-service orientation, problem-solving capabilities, and cultural affinity with Western markets and customs, and an operational cost advantage, with costs competitive with any supplier country in the world.

      Happy outsourcing everyone.

      Thanks,
      Louie Tugas

P.S. Bestjobs.ph is still a good site to look for Filipino VA's.

    Hi,

In my experience, Onlinejobs.ph and Easyoutsource.com are the better website as of now.
Many Filipino workers are there, very good in time management, high quality works, can do many tasks, you can also do multi-tasking. And honestly, you can pay them in a cheaper cost. Filipinos are people we can always trust.

    Cheers!

I posted this on another thread, but I'll post it here as well:

IMO going through any of the usual online outsourcing websites is going to produce less than optimal results. I've tried elance (mixed results, but always paid US prices for the good stuff), odesk (waste of time), 99designs (okay if you're looking for something quick and cheap and you want a lot of options), scriptlance (not bad, but not great either) and a few others.

If you want a good VA, try Craigslist instead. Pick a big city in a country that's known for VAs (Manilla, Bucharest are good examples) and post what you want on the CL for that city. I got over 20 applicants for one article-writing job, responded; eight of them followed through with a sample article; three seemed okay in terms of English level. I hired one who wrote one article for me and then got hired away to do full-time work; my second pick has been great and I've used her for over half a year now with zero problems. She not only writes decently but also can set up simple websites, post videos, etc.

Re writing: You will probably not get native-quality work, but it's still a huge time-saver to just have to edit an article versus writing one from scratch. Also, some of the topics my VA has come up with have been great, and I've used her ideas to write additional articles on my own that have gotten a lot of views.

Anyway, Craigslist. Try it and see.

  • Don't over think where to hire VA, go up to Odesk or any you choose...make your decision fast the real work starts with selecting and monitoring your worker. Have you written up a guide to give to your worker just to be sure they know what they are doing? I once read a manager wrote a guide on how to install Wordpress and gave it to the hired workers, turns out they didn't even know what Wordpress was! So when you give your guide to them you gotta ask them what they don't understand and you'll be shocked! So go on now and hire the one who understands what you're trying to do better.

In my opinion, Odesk offers you the cheapest VAs you can find out there along with DP. However, the highest quality can be found at Elance.com as they verify the identity of the individual trying to work with them.

Its an interesting to see that there are lot of people recommending lot of sites...
My answer would be "In all sites you can get good VA"..

Biggest challenge is to find out, how to find the right VA.. it can be in any site..

I have selected many of the VAs, some good VAs and some bad VAs. After learning from my mistakes, now i am able to figure out what is the right way to get a good VA.

These are some of the tips or rather i would say must follow steps which i have been using to find a great VA.

    1) Write down all requirements that you have.. point to point.. this is the key..
    2) Write down ur budget
    3) Write down, which location u are prefering eg.. Same time zone, different time zone or different time zone with some hours of overlap - Dont be rigid with this.. if you are flexible with time zone, then u can get a VA at a great price..
    4) Whether u want to do this work to be repetative.. for eg.. just build the links every day.. no change in job or work will change daily or weekly.. ( If this is the requirement, then u need to hire a VA in the time zone)
    5) what is the mode of communication you want to adopt... by skype /email or phone

    Dos :
Always short list more than one VA
Always ask for trail job - Some VAs might require you to pay as well.. dont hesitate to pay
Check with your VAs if they like doing this kind of jobs - if they are not, very soon their productivity will come down
If they take vacations, how early they will tell you.../they have the backup or not etc
Look at the rating of the VA - Please note, if u want to go for a very good rating.. u might end up loosing ur budget..BE AWARE OF IT.
What is the budget - As mentioned, it should be a blend of rating and budget... Many times this will be tricky.
Request for as many profiles as possible

    Donts :
Dont assume that person applying for VA would know everything...
Shortlist just one profile and go by him
Without taking trails go with him

    Important tips:
If you dont have sufficient time to short list:
Some one who is offering a trial job for a week or so. That means, they should be very confident of their service. Give it a TRY

If you need furthur info or any questions in finding VA with specific requirement, PM me or reach me at neralu at geemail dot com. I can help u out.

those cheap workers might not be effective
