Bonus benefit of Kindle publishing

The other day I held the first session of a new course, which cost $497, and at the end I asked everyone how they heard of me, since all the attendees were people I hadn't interacted with before.

One woman said she looked up "Marketing for Introverts" on Google and found me that way. I took a look, and it was my Kindle title by that name that currently comes up first on Google.

While I'm selling those $2.99 Kindle books steadily to people all around the world, it's also very nice to get consulting/coaching/course income from that listing as well. This was my first direct evidence of that fact.

I encourage you to put important keywords into your Kindle title for this reason.

Absolutely agree Marcia. In fact, I know many people who are not traditional "authors" who have started publishing on the Kindle to build their brand and drive traffic because it works very well.

Of course, many people do it wrong and think they can just put a bunch of low quality "crap" on the Kindle but whether you are writing the next best selling novel or a 99 cent lead gen book, your content has to be excellent.

Still lots of opportunity out there for sure!

Great point Marcia. Reminds me of people who come across an obscure marketing book in a book store, and then winds up paying tons of money to the book author from the website links in the book.

That's right. Dan Kennedy says that by far, his most lucrative leads come from people who find him by reading one of his books.
