GetResponse Signup Confirmation Lag

Hi,

I am starting to use GetResponse. I have set up a trial landing page and doing some tests through it to check a few things.

I have just signed up a few members with my own e-mail addresses, just to check the re-direction of landing page works etc, and to see how efficient the process is.

Problem 1) I filled in the form with my name and email address, simple enough. I was directed to a GetReponse video telling me to check my email so I can verify the email address, it says "do not close this window until you get the email from us"..... This was expected, worked nice. But then, a few minutes later no e-mail arrived from GetResponse confirm system, so I went to check in my SPAM folder... Nothing there.. Strange I thought.. Then about 2 minutes later the e-mail from GetResponse dropped in, asking me to confirm my e-mail...

WOW - It must have been 6 minutes or so.. maybe even longer. Isn´t this sort of confirmation normally instantaneous, like seconds.. ? I would live with a minute, but 5 or 6 minutes? Like a lifetime when you are getting someone to sign up to your list for a "free instant download"...

Did a second test and that I timed, it took just over 5minutes. Is this normal?

I expected faster from GetResponse I have to say. When I normally sign up to someones list the confirmation optin email comes very promptly.

    It happens. I sometimes have a delay with Aweber confirmations as well. It all depends on how busy their servers are I would imagine.

    I have signed up to lists that use GetResponse and the timing has almost always been immediate.

    I don't think 5 minutes is a train smash.

    Aweber is the same way, it doesn't come instantly...

      Ok, thanks to you both for your feedback.

      Good to know its not a problem. Seemed strange to me because as Di said, I generally receive confirmations in seconds.. but I guess sometimes these things can happen and if aWeber is the same, then that confirms it.

        And not only that, but (unlike one or two company representatives here) they do so helpfully, quickly and when asked direct questions, i.e. with no spontaneously promotional component. It's a really good and welcome model of forum posting.

    Thanks for your response. I have already been into your support and found it very informative and efficient, can´t disagree with you there :-)

    In this case I just wanted a few independent views so didn´t go through support on this occasion.

    I will though, as I wanted to discuss something else relevant to the timing of the confirmations. Thanks for the support!
