I am done with Hostgator..Looking for Solid Hosting Company suggestions please

Bluehost... Last time I checked Hostgator has around the clock live chat. They have handled every technical problem I have had but I don't have 174 clients.

Linode is awesome for VPS's. Highly scalable and SUPER fast.

For normal hosting, Bluehost all the way.

Confused here too...
Started with business package of HG, a few minor issues but nothing major, tech support was always right on the case.
Upgraded to reseller a few months back, hasn't missed a beat.

I am confused by this Host Gator slagging that seems to be increasing on here and other forums.

If there is an issue, then report it.
Make sure that you're staying within the TOS of your hosting company, regardless of who you're with as that is when the problems tend to start happening.

Take a look at WiredTree - Managed Dedicated Servers | Managed VPS Hosting | Fully Managed Web Hosting As a direct competitor to me, I can certainly recommend them.

What's wrong with Hostgator? They have all of that you mentioned and amazing 24/7 support. Maybe your experience is different than mine but I have never once had an issue with them.

if you had 174 clients, you should have your own system admin in house and use dedicated server. Managed VPS is "managed". You will have to do everything by support.

rackspace and softlayer are 2 good hosting company for dedicated sever. I like softlayer better.

I've had a great experience with IntoVPS: VPS hosting for a vps server. Ticket responses are within 10 minutes. Sometimes even 5 minutes. They're really helpful and knowledgeable as well.

I highly recommend them. They're just overall fantastic.

Edit: I don't think intovps provides managed vps's. I overlooked the managed part in op post. But still for anyone looking for a vps. They're a fantastic vps provider.
