Quoting people who offer feedback on your product

So I released my first WSO the other day and I have gotten lots of emails / and posts from people that are very positive. It was JVzoo product of the day as well.

Once sales die down and it falls back to page 3 I was thinking I would update the WSO sales page and pay to bump it. However I have 2 questions on editique.

First can I quote the people who gave me feedback without asking them if its ok or do I really have to msg everyone and ask them?

Second is being selected for POTD on JVzoo a rare thing or a common thing. If its common then Im guessing its not worth mentioning, but if its rare I thought it might be.

For me personally, I would take the time to contact each person that left a positive review or comment and first, thank them for that comment, and then ask if I can use it.

Nothing bad can come out of asking, and for me, if I left a comment and the owner actually contacted me, thanked me, and then asked if they could use it, I would think that was pretty cool.

Personally contacting a customer is unusual so it would make you stand out, it would probably make your customer feel good, which would make you stand out, and it would show that you are not just another marketer, but someone who actually cares about what his customers think, which is even rarer, and would make you stand out even more.

About the "Product of the Day" and if that is rare or not, well look at the title.

That gives you an idea that this title is given out everyday, 365 days a year.

So each year there will be 365 "Products of the day"

I personally don't give much weight to POTD when I am making a buying decision. Maybe others do, but I could care less.

Ok great , I think Ill do just that. Contact everyone and see if I can quote them.

For the POTD, well yea I know there are 364 of them a year, but it could be rare to be selected for it if on average there are 200 launches per day. I guess it depends on how many launches there are each day.

Yeah, I never thought about it like that.

I still wouldn't be swayed but others are, so yeah maybe you should mention it. You can't really lose if you do.

Also, where it might be really beneficial is recruiting JV's and affiliates showing them that your product is POTD might give them an idea of how great it is converting, and in that way it could really help you out.

If they posted in the thread, then just use the Quote button.... that's what it's for ;-) If they sent you feedback by PM, email or something else, I would ask first.

Regarding POTD, I've just checked and there were 106 products released yesterday by my count... so if there is one POTD then your product is in the top 1% of releases. Well done! I would definitely mention it.

I would always ask permission to repost positive feedback.

I have always done it in the past, and don't recall EVER having the customer say no.

Many customers are pleasantly surprised, even amazed, to be asked.

When you ask some customers even go out of their way to give you even more positive feedback specifically for publishing. They might something like "I said your product was good, but what I really meant to say is that your product is really good, and I love it, please quote me on that."

Nothing bad can come from asking.

And if the situation was reversed, I would like to be asked. Simply treat others as you would like to be treated.
