Can I Use Someone Else's Video Screenshots in MY Version of Affiliate Review?

There are several video product reviews that are out there for the affiliate product I want to make a review video for, and promote myself.

Due to a lack of time, I don't want to spend the mental energy or time learning to use Camtasia or something to create my own product video screenshots, if I don't have to.

I will be recording the bulk of the 2:30 minute review (90% or so of it approx.) of just me verbally reviewing the product.

Is it plagiarism to use maybe 10 seconds or so of someone elses video screenshots of the product in your own product review?

Many here will tell you not to do that! But using a screenshot that belongs to someone else is nothing to be afraid of! I dont see why not just use your own? It is soo easy!

REALLY??!!! You think that plagiarism and stealing are ok??? It IS something to be afraid of if you don't want to be sued...duh! It's never ok to steal information from someone else.

Now if the OP were to get permission, then it would be okay, but to tell someone it's nothing to be afraid of is moronic at the least! You could lose your whole business if you were to steal something like that. Get real!

Are you kidding? It's called stealing. in your own words "belongs to someone else" therefore you are not free to use it without their permission.

So you're saying you're too LAZY to do the work yourself, and you'd rather just piggy back off of another persons hard work? Personally, if those were MY screen shots or videos you 'borrowed' - I'd be sure to report your video to youtube and have it banned, along with (possibly) your account.

Camtasia is NOT that hard to figure out, put some time into IM - treat it like a business or you're going to go nowhere fast.

Think of it this way: if YOU spend hard work and time to make a video - and I "borrowed" clips of your video to use on my OWN video - how would you feel?

Just do the work yourself, you'll thank yourself later AND you'll have a better quality review NOT based on what others have said about the product and screenshots/videos you 'borrowed' from them. :-)

You might want to really FOCUS on ridding yourself of that trait. People who create success work their ass off! Camtasia is awesome and worth learning.

Dont do it. Create your own video and promote the product. It's not that critical.
