For anybody who already uses the Free Google apps you can keep using it for free but no new sign-ups unless it is for the paid version.

  I agree! Just the gmail account with my branded domain is worth that. The time I've saved having to manually delete spam is amazing. I now enjoy checking my email and my customers are happier about it too.

yeah it was great while it lasted. I worked for a telecommunications company before and they supported customers with the google apps connected to their email addresses. I guess the only thing about free is that you dont know for how long it's going to last.

  You are right, but with good companies like Google, you have peace of mind that original free offer which you signed up for will remain open for you to use... So anybody who have signed up with their free apps account is going to use that forever free Thats awesome!
  
  And they have paid version means... i.e. also great.. as this will make sure that product will be well supported and developed for years to come...
