Custom Illustrations (Example Pics) - Small Business Owners

Hi Warriors,

I was wondering how would you position custom illustrations for small business owners as a service. I'm already doing them for individuals in the music industry, authors and for Facebook profiles. I'm specifically interested in how you would use them as a service for more traditional small business owners. I'm thinking of ways to use them for branding purposes.

Example Illustrations:







I haven't had any trouble selling illustrations to individuals such as voiceover artists, designers, people in the fashion industry, etc but I'm interested in branching out to lawyers, dentists, plumbers, etc who I believe could benefit from personal branding.

So, if you offered this service, how would you do it?

    I would uniquely position it as "small business image facelifts".

    "To stay relevant and fresh in their prospects minds all small business owners need an 'image facelift' from time to time. My ___________ is a the perfect way for the struggling small business owner to reposition themselves to gain greater instant traction in the marketplace especially when they are competing in a very competitive market." etc

      Justin, thanks. I really like that idea. Throw in a couple of stats of how this sort of service boosts sales, brand awareness, etc and that should work.

      My portfolio is attractive enough for prospective customers to see the quality of my work. My issue was more of how to position this illustration service for small business owners. It's actually something I only started offering at the request of clients who were looking for a service like this but couldn't find it. Now looking to branch out.

      A company comes to me with an idea, I wireframe it out, create the Photoshop PSD with all the layers and functionality of the site laid out and then create the HTML/CSS, Magento, Wordpress, Joomla or Drupal out of that. But there are a lot of very good designers out there so I wanted a service that was basically my own to differentiate my services from others. Differentiation is crucial I believe.
