Attraction Marketing , also called Relationship Marketing, appears to be the way to go in Internet Marketing these days.

Instead of sell, sell, sell right from the off, it's more give, give, give.

It's all about giving FREE valuable information to people - information that you know will be useful to them and their business.

It's all about building up trust BEFORE you start promoting products to them. That is not to say that once you have gained their trust that you should promote any old tat - no, you should really only promote products that you have tested, and that you like yourself. Otherwise, you could spend time building up trust only to see it disappear in a flash by promoting rubbish. And let's face it, there is plenty of rubbish about!

The reason more and more people are switching to this approach is because people like to buy things, and more importantly, they like to buy things from people that they know, like and trust. And the best way to get people to know, like and trust you is to offer them valuable information for free. People like people who help them.

It is more of a long-term view - you are really thinking here about building up a long-term business, rather than out to make a quick buck.

Anyway, I like this approach - what are you views?

I love attraction marketing. Mike Dillard has been a huge part in educating marketers about how to do attraction marketing the right way. I use it in my business. I never talk to a prospect directly. People find me and opt in. I communicate through emails then. I talk to them through videos, emails but never as a salesman. In the end attraction marketing is better for both parties. They don't have me directly approaching and I don't have to take hits with constant rejection. Also I get people who are either searching for what I have or want to find out more about what I do when I bring value to the table.

Attraction Marketing leverages the basic Law of Reciprocity. I have used it for many years to attract new clients and to offer additional services to existing clients. I truly believe that whatever you give you get back.

    Just my 2 cents.

Actually, attraction marketing is not new at all. Maybe re-discovered for some or wrapped in a new package. But not new.

Still the best way to go.

I recently read a PDF called, Inbound Marketing, and it's similar to attraction marketing.

When you say these days, you make it sound like people are just discovering this. Sure maybe a lot are, but it is not a new concept.

and more importantly, they like to buy things from people that they know, like and trust.
Yup, and this concept has been around way before is has been repackaged as Attraction Marketing or Relationship Marketing.

The thing is you are always going to have the 2 schools of thought.

One the one side you will always have those people who believe that sell, sell, sell is the way to go.

And on the other side you will always have those people who believe in developing relationships, offering value, or in otherwords underpromise and over deliver.

There are times when one method is more popular than the other, but both will always be around.

I always get a kick out of when marketers say this.

But the truth is, even if you don't call yourself a salesman, if you are trying to sell them something they will view you as a salesman. People don't make the distinction between a salesman and a marketer.

As a salesperson myself, I do understand why a lot of marketers say things like this, but just so you know not all of us sales people are bad people, lol

      Exactly!

It is an old concept that has just been repackeged and given a new name for a new group of customers

I have a very simple strategie, and it works for me
I do never promote only one product
I promote 2 or three on the same mail, and I give people the choice.

Depending on the situation this type of marketing can work wonders. This is great for very saturated markets in which developing a relationship with your potential buyer is a must.

"Attraction Marketing" is not a way to market....it is a way to position yourself. You can not fake attraction marketing by giving something for free. You actually have to become attractive. You actually have to have success to even come close to standing a chance using "attraction marketing". You will hear people telling you a bunch of BS about it....but you only become attractive when you learn skills that are attractive..

      Hope that helps.

Yes! Attraction marketing is very very powerful if used the right way. Especially when ACTUALLY call your prospects after they have opt in to your LP. Huge difference. And im the one to talk because before I never thought talking on the phone could make any difference.

it is basically 2-step marketing where you attract
the right prospect and not cold calling everyone
      to find the qualified few.

It has it's roots in direct response marketing
      now applied to the internet.
