FaceBook and Wordpress are driving me nuts

Hi,

OK, I;ve set up a wordpress blog and made some posts with an image.

Now, I've created a business FaceBook account and want to populate my timeline with the 7 posts I've created on my blog.

How the *!*@ do I do this? Can it be done?

Also, is it possible to set things up so that when I make a post on my blog, the post is automatically uploaded to my timeline on n my FaceBook account?

The help on FB is useless and I'm getting conflicting and out-of-date information when I go Googling.

If you've done this already I'd really, really appreciate your advice; I'm going crazy!

    You need to post on your own wall when logged in to your Facebook account.

    Why not use Twitterfeed? It pulls from your RSS feed and posts it automatically to Twitter, FB and LinkedIN. Plus, it's free.

    Oh, but that doesn't put the image in. Got it, never mind me!

    Thanks guys for your replies.

    However, I'm probably just as confused as ever.

    I ended up installing a FB app called PagePressApp. It works but not in the way I was expecting.

    What this app did is create a new app and added the icon of the app to the 'tabs' menu (hope that makes sense. Then, when I clicked on the tab, it did go ahead and import my blogs posts.

    Problem is that the blog posts didn't get inserted into my page timeline, instead they were imported to some other page, whcih could only be seen when you click on the PagePress Tab.

    So, I'm still trying to figure out how i get get my blog posts, along with the image used in the post, onto my timeline page.

    Hope that makes sense and I really hope someone has a solution to my problem.

    Thanks for everyone's advice - especially cferfland247 and denysapu.

    I've installed the FaceBook app 'RSS Graffiti as recommended by cferfland247. It took me longer than most other people would take to figure it out (I'm just useless at even some minor techy stuff sometimes) but it has worked really well. It uploaded my WP blog posts. I particularly like how I was able to post previous blog posts by going to the advanced tab in RSS Graffiiti source content and set the date to several months ago and it just picked up my posts made since that date.

    I might now give NextScripts WP plugin a try as recommended by denysapu.

    Thanks for listed your FB page. I noticed that posts on your timeline have 'via RSS Graffiti' tags. Were you previously using this FB app? If so, would you mind telling me why you changed?

        Well, Jesse...

        I now how ten blog posts on my FB timeline - it's a business FB page, BTW.

        I could probably have cut and paste the images and text from my WP blog and pasted them as posts on my FB page far quicker than it took me to find out how to do it automatically - I've spent the better of the day opening a FaceBook account, understanding what FB is kind of about and how it functions, and what apps to use to link my WP blog to my FB page

        But, going forward, I will only have to make a blog post once and it will appear in both places. So, yes, it has taken me longer to automate the process than it would have done to make a manual post in both places but, in the long run it will save me a lot of time and effort.

        NOW....

        if someone can tell me how to list a free report on my FB page whereby a visitor can download it by giving me a 'like' and then me getting hold of their firstname and email address for my aweber autoresponder series, I'd be all set

        Any takers?

    Buddy, when you are testing a lot of apps and plugins to get what you are looking for, remember, any of these plugins may cause conflict and it might crash your wp site just like that. So, please create backups before you try any new application. That's what happened to one of the high traffic, weight loss blog of mine. Duplicator plugin works well for backup. WordPress › Duplicator « WordPress Plugins
