        What exactly are you wanting to do?
        Do you have software on your HD that you want to share with your friend, the 2 of you sharing one license?

            This page lists several free remote access software programs, some of which allow file transfers. I've always used LogMeIn for that, so I can't comment on any of the other programs in that list.

            LogMeIn works great though. The 'free' version does not allow direct file transfers, but that's not much of a limitation, as you can just use FTP or file sharing sites for that.

    Log me In is Great BUT a real pain in the butt to remove. It seems like "Join.me" would be an easier, cleaner way to share without the commitment..jmho.
