Animoto

Hi Im trying to make a video with animoto and I wanted to add text to the video but it seems that I cant add more than a 40 character header, and 50 character text field for every slide?

    Yeah, they have some limitations, though I don't remember the exact numbers.

    My advice is: use other video crafting methods. People are getting tired of these Animoto videos and you won't reap great results from your work.

    It's true! I personally use Windows Live Movie Maker and I love it! Plus you don't have that watermark thing at the end that makes the movies look "amateurish" and you can import slides from Powerpoint!

      Exactly, you can get anything you get out of Animoto by using Windows Live Movie Maker, without its restrictions. With a little experience you can get it done just as fast.

      I also like to use Camtasia's screen capture and Power Point slides for my videos. Also video editing is made so much easier with Camtasia; a whole lot of features too...

    A couple of work arounds for this would be:

    Use paint (or an image program) and put text on a picture or solid background.

    Create a slide in PowerPoint with the text on it and save as an image file (jpeg)

    Once your image is completed, upload to animoto.

    One of my favorite programs to use for this is SnagIt. This is a very handy program by the creators of Camtasia, TechSmith....

    This is definitely my favorite image tool!
