Pretty simple question.

If you HAD to spend $50 per month on Fiverr, what would you buy and why?

I would not recommend and use any fivver service, about 95% of the services their is fake and will damage your overall IM efforts. The only services that are considered "safe" are the ones that have to do with banner/logo design.

100% agree with mrelk159. All backlinks services, Facebook like services are fake.

This is absolute nonsense. Fiverr is just like a classified ads site, except they figured out an angle that lets them take 20% of all transactions. It isn't some vast conspiracy to rip you off.

Many, many Warriors have reported great results from using Fiverr to find great service providers, and I have some great experiences of my own as well, including finding one great provider who has become a business partner.

Can you get ripped off? Sure, for $5, if you are careless about how you shop.

I'm not sure what the safety issue is that you refer to; I assume it has to do with something like backlinks that might get you slapped. Use common sense, and don't throw a ton of backlinks at your sites like the old days; you should be fine.

I don't know how many gigs they have, but for you to claim 95% are scams is just ridiculous. You would need to have bought at least 20, to even have a number that can be sampled by 95%, and by no means would it constitute a random sample for a site so huge.

If you bought 20 gigs, 19 of them would be bad according to your figure. That would take either spectacularly bad luck, or you'd have to be trying to find bad gigs; even then I doubt you could hit 19 out of 20.

There is a reason so many Warriors recommend fiverr for outsourcing; it is a goldmine of bargains where often a single gig will save a day or more on the part of the buyer.

My only complaint about them is that the site keeps the buyer and seller at arms length so they can keep collecting their 20% fee forever. Even 20% of the introductory gig is quite steep considering how little they actually do. I'll be damned if I am going to give them 20% for years once I find someone I really like, and hire them.

Definitely voiceovers. $5 for 60s means I can get about 10min (~1500 words) of high quality overover for $50, which is a great addition/upsell to an existing product.

As for video, if it's for a product then it's okay, but definitely not for testimonials. Most of them have done thousands of testimonial videos and their faces are plastered all over the web. They will be recognized. Easy way to lose credibility IMO.

It depends on what you order on Fiverr. I am an active seller and buyer. If you buy stuff like link pyramids or link blasts you are harming your website. However there are some good linkbuilding gigs (compared to what you pay).

For instance, I offer 8 Dutch links for a Fiverr, all on unique directory domains. Most haven't yet received PageRank, but the links are helping people rank their site a bit higher.

I recommend people to think if someone can logically deliver quality for a certain amount of money. In my case my customers are convinced I over deliver. But be careful. If it sounds to good to be true it definitely is so.

You can use squidoo lens creation services, maybe some wheel building services as long as you have the articles for the wheel written by somebody else... maybe some manual bookmarking to social sites too. Those services are probably safer than the rest of the stuff they offer on fiverr

I've actually purchased bookmarking postings which helped one of my Squidoo lenses get to #1 page 1 on Google Searches for a pretty high Exact Match search term. I bought the gig a few times over a few months timeframe, and it was a pretty decent help... still there at #1 right now and has helped me get a few affiliate sales too from it. Other things I'd buy though would probably be graphics or video testimonials if needed, especially since I don't do too well myself on video. I would never buy "Likes" or "Followers" gigs at all, and article writing gigs can be decent though it's like finding a needle in a haystack. lol

    All in YouTube video promo.

Video promotion is where it is right now in marketing. My gig on Fiverr has sold over 3,000 packages in the last year.

For a measly $5 you can get your video ranked (if it is optimized correctly and the competition is at the right level)

    Can't beat that

Seems everyone is on the same page, definitely for videos, graphics and web design fiverr is awesome. As for SEO techniques etc there is really nothing worth it there. You might find some gems here and there but it would take too much time.

I remember getting something called, Fiverr Allstars a while back and it was a great ebook that told you who the best people in Fiverr are within each type of category.

Not sure ... I've only ever spent about $130 there in total, but have been very pleased indeed, overall, with what I've bought. Mostly little graphics, including silhouettes/drawings/cartoons of myself, made from photos, so as to be able to have a photo or two accompanying the pen-names on my various niche sites, but without actually being recognisable or looking "too young". (I don't mind that here - before anyone comments! - because I'm not selling or promoting anything here, but on my business sites I'd worry about it a lot, to put it mildly).

If I had to spend $50 per month there, I'd perhaps be looking carefully through the "Fun & Bizarre" and "Other" listings. The one thing I wouldn't be looking at is any kind of SEO services at all, in case their providers use any kind of automated/software to create them (which you'd have to expect, when they get only $4 per time for providing their service?).

You need only look through the SEO folder here (and/or elsewhere) at the people whose businesses have been hammered by Google's Penguin update and told openly by Google that the reason was that they seemed to have built automated backlinks, to want to stay away from that possibility. Even other, vaguer, threads there sometimes follow a regular pattern: "I'm ruined - why was I penalized?" "Have you bought backlinks on Fiverr?". "Ummmm, well, yes, a few ...". "Oops". Others decide for themselves, but it's too risky for me.

This thread tells the story: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...-services.html

I was talking last week to someone who bought what I thought was a particularly good-looking squeeze page there (for $25, admittedly, not for $5), and if I used squeeze pages myself, I'd be "right in there". Worth remembering that there's a whole range of "upgrade" services/products there at higher prices, too. I don't outsource much, though, myself.

You can usually find good sellers (with good feedback) for services like:

    - YouTube Video Creation
    - Article Writing
    - Vouchers/Coupons
    - Drawings/Graphics
    - Audio/Voice Overs

Anything that does not put your website at risk, such as low-quality link building or spam commenting. And do make sure that the seller has a good feedback before you ever buy on fiverr.

I would use the $50 to have people proofread my copy. Hey, you can lose a lot of sales due to one grammar error. It makes you look like a fool in front of your viewers. Please look at the ratings and decide on which gigs to get as not all are super. I have found that approx 10% are poor. It pays to look at the comments people are giving.

Fiverr is a goldmine, you just need to know where to look.

95% of my SEO process for my niche sites is outsourced on Fiverr.

I got a few go to guys who I'm dropping on average $70 - $140 per WEEK with.

People telling you to avoid SEO gigs don't know what they are talking about. I've also noticed a lot of people selling SEO services on sites (even here) outsource most of their work to people on Fiverr.

I know this for a fact, because a friend of mine was running some of the more successful SEO gigs, and constantly had people ordering his services to re-sell on forums like this and others, pricing them at $197 a pop!

As long as you have some basic SEO knowledge, you should be safe. I've noticed a lot of the people who tell people to stay away from Fiverr, are the same people who bough a 60k Scrapebox blast to their money site and wondered why they got hit with a Google slap.

I totally agree with your thoughts here!

There are tons of high quality sellers in every service on Fiverr. The problem is that most people do not know what to look for or they have too high of an expectation and end up looking to the low quality gigs that are cheap just so they can match those expectations in their head.

I was answering the people that were saying "Avoid Fiverr for SEO". Like I said, if that's what people are saying, they don't know anything about SEO.

To answer your question, I can't. If I only had $50 and I HAD to spend it, well it would depend on what I was working on.

Some months I may spend it on videos, sometimes link building and so on.

If your asking the question because you have $50 laying around, I would advise you to save it until you actually need it. No point in spending for the sake of it.

Of course you can buy links on fiverr, you just have to know what you are doing. In many cases, you are paying on the forums for the exact same links and you pay five to ten times more.

As for your question, you should buy what you need Just about anything is sold on fiverr, if you do YouTube, order a video, if you need a new logo for your site, order a logo, if you need help coding your brand new VB software, you can get a guru to help you for a fiver, etc.

Fiver can be a great time saver. A couple things I haven't seen mentioned, but I use are:

      - research and curation
      - data entry
      - minor programming tasks that I don't feel like doin
      - integration and validation testing

Although some of these are more suited for microworkers, but there are a lot fiverr gigs that I couldn't live without. For example, one gig will give you a screen shot of your web page in 50 different permutations of web browser and os. Now that's how you test true cross browser compatibility.

I think the trick with fiverr has already been stated, you have to know what you want, how it should be done, and how to communicate it.

I've spent a ton of money on fiverr on all sorts of stuff.

But to answer your question - I'd spend it on links ((noise of jaws dropping))

There ARE some great link building gigs on there, you've just got to know what you're looking for. I reckon the folks on here that slate 'fiverr links' are actually pedaling them on here for a nice mark-up & are only protecting their business. Which is fair dues.

I also like some video gigs, graphics & voice-overs. My voicemail message was from fiverr!! GENIUS!

I'll buy a domain and make it redirect to a CPA offer.
I'll hire someone to create a flyer advertising the CPA offer.
I'll hire someone to distribute the flyer and get the person to take pictures distributing.
I'll test out different CPA offers and different places to see what converts the best.

I just went for 5000 hits or $5, it was a total waste
then I went after a lot to do with backlinks.

I think the quick instant stuff doesn't even work, even to a degree the backlinks don't really work that well. I have bought about 100+ gigs on fiverr over the years and not much has been really worth it. I have got some great twitter lists, but long-term value like long articles is what actually works and I'd rather write those over hiring someone.

I would only invest in voice overs, graphics, and press release submissions.

I would stay away from the link building for SEO through Fiverr in which most of them use a software and can harm your site mor than help it.

I would go to Fiverr.com/banjoman15 and buy his videos :-)
OK OK that's me, and I have sold a crap-load of these to SEO guys and marketers.

I used to direct people to the banjoman15 vids on my site but these days you're everywhere.

If I had to spend $50 on Fiverr I would buy blog post placements with real bloggers. You can get some for $5, you just have to search for them. For my purposes, I'll take one post with a link from an established blogger over 20,000 senuke links or silly link pyramids any day.

I would also buy transcription services so I can post a transcription of a video to my blog.

For me, the key to happy purchases on Fiverr is knowing who to trust with your gigs. Finding the honest, reputable and talented vendors is the key.

Let's face it, entry into this marketplace as a vendor is a cinch. No credentials, no past history, no experience is necessary to claim "expert" status. Keep your BS meter on high alert.

It's really easy for sellers to rip buyers (just like some other sites online) and because the price for everything is so low many buyers know they were ripped off but end up doing nothing about it.

Be careful about graphics gigs as sellers can mis-represent their license to use a graphic they didn't create themselves. They can also rip off someone elses header or logo simply by making a few tiny changes and calling the design their own.

I've seen expensive courses and programs sold for $5 that were nothing but illegal copies of someone elses work. Recently I saw a seller offering Optimize Press for $5. When asked about an activation code, she had no clue what I was referring to. Ditto for ebooks, reports, plr packs, infographics and other intellectual property.

Be careful about linking and promotion services. Does the seller provide you with some sort of validation or record of all the work they have done? Can you go out on the Internet and see for yourself where the seller has placed your links?

I don't want to totally disparage Fiverr because there are some credible people selling gigs there, but I would just caution you to be careful and try to find the honest talented sellers and stick with them.

I agree with the above point. I'm sure we all have had our own sour experiences using Fiverr. Granted, given that virtually anyone can offer a service on fiverr, it makes it logical to question everyone's credibility. However, I've personally met several professionals and talented giggers who offer excellent services on Fiverr. Sometimes, you even feel a guilt of paying just 5 bucks for a service that you consciously know could be worth hundreds in normal circumstances. Take the Burger king commercial made on fiverr for instance. I mean "Burger King". They would've paid thousands for that, and gladly so. Anyways, you get the point.

Use it on voice over, graphics, PPC coupons, video creation, and make sure the graphics are not from google search. Using fiverr for anything else, comes with big risk to your business..

There are pretty decent web designers on Fiverr. I've personally tried a few and results were pretty impressive each time.

I recommend hiring people to do videos, article writing, blog commenting, video commenting, and graphic design. Just do not rely on the traffic that they promise you, it is just garbage

I only use fiverr to re-create my e-books covers, banners. However, I have friends that use fiverr to pump up likes, visitors traffic, mainly for flipping websites purposes.
