Best platform to make money: Blog or Website?

I would like to hear which of the two is the best to run an affiliate business. Obviously the blog format will run through a domain.

Maybe it doesn't really matter at all the system one is using as long as layout and content are slick and professional.

What do you think?

    A blog IS a website.

    And with many modern themes there is no visual difference between the two.

    I use Wordpress for everything other than 1-page salesletters

    I think blog is a better option as it's easier to get started and to maintain. It also seems you will get a higher ranking up google search if you use blogs like wordpress as google seems to fancy wordpress.

    Doesn't matter as long as you install wordpress, Google loves wordpress, for whatever reason

    Blog would be better.

    You can use static page option in wordpress and it will look like website.

    Wordpress is easy to maintain. If you dont want to change content then go for website.
