General idea about blogs

Hi,

I was wondering, if the blog is not so much popular and anything, but you keep posting and posting some stuff in it, no matter if it is good stuff or just stuff.. What would be the number of visitors you could possibly get from google for indexed content? I fully understand that not so much quality content is worthless, but still, would one article bring one person per day to the page? Does anyone have such a blog?

    If you just post a bunch of garbage, the traffic doesn't really matter. You will just get people that come and leave. Quality content keeps them on your site, gets them to subscribe, converts them into a customer and ultimately answers the question or request they were searching for.

      Just being indexed isn't going to bring traffic, anyway. By and large, if you're not on the first couple of pages of the SERPs, you won't see much organic traffic at all, if any.

    What the above people said.

    You have to think of it like a business. If you post junk content that people don't like, how do you expect to make money from it? People will mostly just leave. (Google can track this).

    Basically, at the end of the day, if you provide a crappy user experience Google will get rid of your sites.

    You can rank for a certain period of time by doing this. (I routinely rank crap sites to the top of Google and profit from them), but when i do this, i know that it's not a long term strategy. It's just profitable for me.

    As someone who seems new, i would try and read up more on SEO and link building if you are going down this avenue. Then you should build a plan and stick to it.
