Question About Email List (Those Who Purchase vs. Those Who Haven't)

Something I'm curious to know is do you create a separate set of email autoresponders for those who purchase your product versus those who still haven't purchased? Or do you use the same emails for follow-up?

I'm thinking about top internet marketers (ie. Mike Geary, Eban Pagan), do they create separate emails for those who purchase versus those who haven't?

What have you guys done?

As soon as one of your subscribers makes a purchase you need to transfer them to
a buyers list. Buyers should be treated differently. Your buyers list is like treasure. Honor them
With quality info. I use a different series of messages to my buyers.
How to switch your buyers to a new list depends upon which provider you use.

You can establish rules in Aweber that move people from one list and to another. At a minimum you do need your "prospects" and "buyers" list.

If someone just bought your product there's no point in advertising things to them about the product (they already bought it).

Within each list you might want to do additional segments.

Aweber makes this really easy and there are tutorials available.

Yeah i create separate autoresponders for my prospect list and my customer list"S".

I have it set up where whenever they subscribe to the next product list, they get automatically unsubscribed from the previous product list.

If you're using the Aweber service, click on Automation and you can set a macro to unsubscribe those on your prospects list when they subscribe to your buyers list.

You have to create a separate buyers list for your easy reference and followups. I'd say it's a must for every marketer especially if you are really serious about your business.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I do use Aweber so I hope this makes things easier for me.

Now it's a matter of what content I add to this list and potential cross-sells (easier to sell an existing customer than a new one, right?)
