Is Paypal a MUST to make money in IM?

Hi Guys,

I'm really new to this IM world, and I have a couple of bad experiences with paypal doing unauthorized chargebacks to my credit card & bank account due to some rogue buyers whom I sent items to and them did a claim saying they did not receive the goods. My account is still under a negative balance, but I have a sister with a verified paypal account and I'm not sure if I log in will that affect her account?

So I looked through a couple of WSOs, and at least 90% of them are using Paypal, and some say Paypal is necessary for their methods. Is there really no way to do IM without Paypal?

Cheers,
#make #money #paypal

Its not a must to make money

but I guess if you want to be up there with the big boys you need to have paypal and use it. More and more people are using paypal especially with the management changes

Paypal is not a must, as there are many other similar platforms to use. Paypal is just more well known, so people tend to trust a Paypal payment page more as opposed to let's say PayDotCom, which many marketers use as well.

Depends are you going to be selling your own service? It is not necessary but you will need a merchant acct which will charge you a monthly fee plus a 1.9 to 3% fee per transaction. other than that it is just really convenient since you can use it for everything from domain purchases to hosting to wso's.. I would say get your paypal account in good standing because it will benefit you in the long run

I could never receive payment from Paypal because my country is not allow to receive payment, sucks! Now, alternatively, I'd go for Skrill and Payza as long as we have the products or service that buyers really wanted to buy, it doesn't matter. Even Paypal is widely used, many people in the countries like still make money though!

For me , I will think it a must because it is most trustable and acceptable payment methods that accept by most of people compare to other payment methods like credit card, bank transfer or third party payment gateway.

You cannot be ignore it because it going to bring big influence to your revenue while you also know that most of them are using paypal and prefer paypal.

It just like you said most of people using google but you go choose bing or yahoo as 1st choice which going to destroy your sales.

For quite a few years, I lived in a country with no PayPal and I have to say, it was quite difficult at times especially if you are selling services. The sooner you have your account and verify it, the more possibilities will open up for you

Paypal is important because a lot of IM stuff buyers would have a paypal account and prefer using it to pay for their purchases. If you do not take paypal as a payment, you will lose out on a lot of such customers. I know paypal could be tough to deal with, but they are really synonymous with IM.

Paypal has the market dominance and even attempts by the likes of Google and Visa (v.me) to knock them off have failed miserably so far.

Yes, PP is used a lot in IM but there are plenty of heavyweights that don't use them.

Most IMers would occasionally buy things from Amazon and that's all credit/debit card driven and Amazon don't offer a PP option for payment (last time I was there anyway) so don't underestimate the power of the ubiquitous credit card online.

The problem with the alternatives (like Clickbank with its heavy fees) and merchant accounts is the setup hassle.

In short, you don't need PP but expect work to make the alternatives function properly for you.

Truth is, PayPal is like money that is defined as generally accepted. Virtually all the hot market where IM money comes from have and use PayPal due to ease and flexibility, if you leave PP out then you are leaving money on the table.

I agree for the Paypal is dominating the online payment. That's why I lost tons of money because I can't use Paypal as my payment gateway in the last few years. But now, I'm feeling happy with Skrill and Payza so much even they have low market in payment gateway against Paypal, they bring more money with the cheaper fee compare to other third party like Clickbank or similars!
