The Benefits of Becoming a "Top Ten" Author in Ezinearticles

Hi....

This question goes out to all those marketers who have become a top ten author in Ezinearticles.com. (Each category in EZA has a listing of the top ten authors who have published the most articles).

What are the benefits of achieving such a feat?

- Do you notice an increase in traffic to your articles?

- Do you notice any increase in "link juice" to link in your author bio?

Any feedback is appreciated.

When I was in the top 10 (now my main name is #24) I did notice my profile views increased significantly. However, I have now started to focus on becoming the top auther for specific subcategories because I think it helps other people find more of your articles for that specific niche which they can then use on their sites or in their ezines...etc, with your resource box still attached.

I believe there is a traffic benefit from being a top author within a specific niche subcategory.

      Tim,

I respect your thoughts. Thanks for taking the time to post.

I would have thought that you would get more traffic (albeit indirectly) from being on that list of top ten authors for the particular subniche.

When webmasters are looking for content for their sites they will gravitate towards the top authors in the particular niche of interest simply because it's easier to find more content and one feels they are an expert within that niche as well. Hence, more traffic over time if they leave our bio boxes intact...

      Cheers,

I am not sure how much more views I would get being a top 10 author, all I know is I am able to dominate ezines for my particular niche..... this brings me tons of free leads without being a top 10 author so I would be keen to see if I could increase this.

I don't think it make a difference in your article views but maybe in your profile views. I am currently number 5 for one of the popular niches but i don't see an increase in views.

The increase in profile views can be very helpful because you can have multiple website URLs in your profile so quite possible you can gain traffic from those links to your sites.

I'm top 10 in a few niches and havent noticed it making any difference.

To get in the top 10 of most niches you have to write alot of articles, so by nature you should be getting traffic anyway - so its hard to distinguish any extra traffic that comes from achieving that particular feat. To me, its just something to do for the hell of it - I often aim to get into the top 10

But you only get displayed on the top 10 page if you have an author photo. Im starting to think that NOT having a photo and thus not being put on that page even if you have submitted the most articles, is a tactic of some in order to avoid having their exact niches/landing pages/affiliate programs/ ideas taken - I know I personally look closely at the resource boxes of the top 10 authors as I figure they must be making money if they are continually submitting large quantities of articles.

You get to give EZA a lot of nice traffic and revenue.

    That's pretty much it! :p

Better to use your quality content on your OWN SEO optimized site, and promote otherwise.

Not to say article marketing doesn't work, because it DOES...

Just not nearly as fast or as well as it used to, and I'm in a hurry

    Good luck!

Its faster than just about any other free method of traffic generation.
If you know what you're doing.

Case in point: I started submitting articles 3 days ago for a new site and already have sales coming in. Unless you're using PPC you're not going to get much faster than that.

I don't think there is any difference or benefit. But look at the bright side, the more articles you submit, the better.
