Solo Ad Business Question... Clicks!!!?

Hey Warriors,

My question is about running solo ads. For those of you that have solo ad businesses, my question is...

When your list gets big enough to guarantee the number of clicks you get from your list, how do you deliver a certain number of clicks without WAAAAY over-delivering? How do you have a cut off point.. if you will? Is there a software you all use, so you are able to deliver a certain amount of clicks to your huge lists? Bottom line is, I want to make sure each solo I send out gets a certain amount of clicks, that way if someone orders a 50 click solo, they'll get what they ordered and not waaaay over. Make sense?

Example: Say my list is at 5k... I know my subs will click an ad about 400+ times, so I get a customer that wants to buy a 200 click solo ad right... Once I deliver about 200+ clicks how do I then stop people from clicking that particular offer? Does it involve separating my lists for a certain amount of clicks then re-mailing that ad to get the next series of clicks? Or is there any easier way to do this without having to separate all my lists? For those of you selling solo ads or aware of how to do this your info is highly appreciated.

Thanks for your time everyone!

Check out quality click control or click maximizer.

I don't know about you but if someone offered 200 clicks and delivered 300 or 400 that would be a benefit for both parties. You will be known as the man who over delivers and they will be a happy ecstatic customer. Over delivering is the main reason why I buy certain people's stuff.

      AMEN!
I recently bought a 100 click solo and the vendor delivered 157!
So what I did since the opt-in rate was 40%...
I ordered another solo, this time 200 clicks, hoping for him to over deliver again and... he did! I got 283 clicks
I just ordered another solo from this vendor, this time 500 clicks, hoping for the same!
Solo Ad Vendors should learn from this since the competition is so big out there!

I would urge you to think about why you're pimping out your list by selling solo adverts?

Your own list is the most precious thing you can have online, what happens if someone buys an advert and what's being offered totally sucks? For the price of that one solo advert you've just lost all credibility.

Build the relationship and sell affiliate products that will enhance your reputation as someone who's worth listening to.

I'm am probably about to sell solo ads myself and do some swapping.

Now you make a point and that is why I have steered clear of this sort of marketing. BUT I have segmented my lists so well I know who to send the solo ads too where it won't hurt my pocket book.

So I would like to say to all that you could do solo's and do it on a seperate list than your meat and potatoes.

Tip - When looking at solo advertisers do you look at the reviews? Of course you do but do you look at the reviews that say I had two or four sales. I seem to always get buyers when I pick solo advertisers like that. Otherwise solos are dead to me.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that solo ads where sold on the size of the mailing list with a "minimum" number of guaranteed clicks. Keyword being minimum.

This. Of course, the cheaper the cost, the less the need for minimums. In the end, it all boils down to a tight fit between the ad being sent and the list members' needs.

Man I would never sell my list like that, you could take the time to write autoresponders and build your repore and then sell your own list.

@hustlinsmoke - I guess 10 months turns 'never' into "I'm now doing it" judging by your latest entry on this thread

In order to make sure you aren't sending too many clicks you would want to invest in a link "redirect"...

I use ClixTrac - Free Banner Tracking, Link Tracking, Ad Tracking and Click Tracking (professional version) to track clicks and conversions - however I'm more of a solo ad buyer than a solo (I rarely sell them, maybe one a month)...

If I was going to go full out as a solo ad seller I would invest in John Cornetta's Click Maximizer or Jayson Benoit's Quality Click Control - these "redirects" also known as "rotators" allow you to set up links and put a "maximum" number on them so that the software will "rotate" to the next link after that "max" number is hit...

These can also be set up to track separate IP's and even countries.

    Some other's that might work:

    BudUrl
    AdTrackz Gold
    Demon Tracking
    HyperTracker

    Hope this helps

    Cheers,
    Coby

I am assuming with those services, your buyers will have to use your link which is complete crap if they want to track it on their end, the guys with the bigger list usually segment there list or send the emails to so many people, I know this one guy I worked with has a list of over 30k and he only sends your ad out to 2,000 of those people and knows how many people will click on your ad out of those 2,000 people.

You can set it up depending on which one are you using. Either quality click control or click maximizer. You can indicate the maximum number of hits and it will automatically stop sending for the offer after it reached a certain number of unique clicks.
