Are you surprised people give their emails on squeeze pages?

Most of them look rather spammy so I am surprised by the high conversion rate in terms of people actually filling in their name and email.

    Dear Ant,

I do have a seperate account to test various offers that comes via squeeze page and for that, I do sign up and monitor several offers over a period of time, If I find them very interesting then ofcourse sign up with my origical account to keep up to date.

    Best regards,
    Swrajit

    Hi,

What seems spammy to some, might be just what someone else is looking for/needs. That doesn't mean empty promises, but the best squeeze pages speak to their target and filter out unqualified prospects.

you'll find that a lot of people don't use real names and use dummy email addresses especially for free products. paid products or paid wsos...you always get real emails and names if you ask for them.

  • I always found the simple squeeze pages convert the best and don't look spammy. Simple is better in my view, all you need is a catchy headline, a few bullet points, and your photo. That way you target a need. Squeez pages that are to busy seem to be trying to hard.

They may seem spammy, but it depends on how good they are at convincing people. If they can convince them that they actually need the information that's being offered when opting in, then people will enter their email.

Squeeze pages that seem spammy to Internet Marketers might be just the thing the average person surfing the net is looking for. Unless you're catering to the IM crowd, most people who land on your squeeze page probably won't even know what a squeeze page is. They're just looking for a solution to their problems and if they think you have that solution, they'll be more than happy to give you their email address in exchange for it.
