AWEBER Issue:The open and click numbers are different with plain text editor and html editor. WHY???

AWEBER issue: There is a thing about aweber html message and plain text message. When I send an email using plain text editor, number of opens and number of clicks are almost similar. But when I send using html editor, there is always a big difference in the number of opens and clicks.

Example: I sent a mail today. 100 opened and 1 clicked. .... lols..:confused:

why is that???:confused::confused:

    That's because plain-text email opening can't in itself be tracked unless a link is clicked inside the email. The opening-tracking systems used by autoresponder companies are based on some "pixel system" and it can monitor open-rates per se only for HTML formatted emails.

    I havent used Aweber in a long time, so dont take my word for it, but when you use the plain text message, it doesnt record the amount of openings of the message.

    When using the html editor, you have to include a link in the email to get statistics on the number of opens.

    (or something like that, cant quite remember)

      Correct.

      No, with HTML emails, the open-rate itself can be tracked. Hence the discrepancy in "opens" and "clicks" can be monitored for HTML emails but not for plain-text ones, with which the so-called "open-rate" is effectively simply a deduction that "those emails must have been opened for the link to have been clicked".
