What is/was your main obstacle in your career as an internet marketer?

That I Faced: Getting enough motivation to actually work towards something and not just be handed money. I was 18 back then, so I wanted everything now without effort. Ironically enough, I see the majority of the people on the forum are still in that phase.

Problem Now: Finding clients who respond in a timely manner and don't disappear for days/weeks on end. Yep, it definitely happens. It's not that they don't need work done anymore, I've received e-mails from people 2 months down the road who would randomly send me money for work or say, "you ready to start the task."

What task? It's been two months.. It completely baffles me as to why it's acceptable to be like this and take that long when you're trying to progress your business.

Outside of content creation and freelancing though, my biggest problem is I'm a perfectionist. I can never just leave a site of mine alone and leave it as is. I'm always thinking, "hrm... this would be cool if this had this functionality" or "This should do this instead!"

Yea when first starting out in IM many years back... the biggest obstacle was staying focused on one project long enough, with so many opportunities out there you can easily get sidetracked.

Now, it's more about finding the most effective traffic sources and methods to keep quality buyers going through my sales funnels.

My biggest obstacle was finding something that I enjoyed doing. I love the blogging niche I'm in now and I have so much fun with it. I like how I can just blog about things I like and still be very successful at selling advertising space :-)
