Can I post Amazon links on Reddit?

From an Amazon TOS point of view, is it acceptable to post Amazon affiliate links on Reddit? I've seen subreddits where the rules state whether you can or can't post an Amazon affiliate link, but that doesn't mean Amazon approves.

Does your answer also apply to Facebook, Pinterest, etc...?

I just read the TOS again and still don't see anything against it, but I figured a few people here would have first hand experience.

Why not post a link to your own site, which then has a review of the Amazon product.

That way you add some value, increase conversion rates, and improve your link popularity.

Redditors tend to hate ads, so another reason to do this, if you do it right, this way you are posting content, as opposed to ads/

I agree with posting a link to your site is the best way to go, but what if you want to suggest an Amazon product to someone in a post but you have no intention of writing a review over it. For example, you want to recommend a product that has nothing to do with your niche.

Is it within the Amazon TOS to do this?

I doubt it because experienced members on the amazon forum frequently say that you can only post links on sites you control. I don't think reddit is in that category.

You can post a link back to your website instead, so you can use reddit to drive traffic.

Since Amazon Associate's TOS requires a specific Amazon affiliate disclosure...how would you include that?

I think it would be great if you emailed Amazon Associates and got a direct answer from them and shared what they say.
