Really Handy Tool for No More Ads

hello warriors,

I have been working on updating one of my websites, and I had to use another website to retrieve some data.

The website I use to retrieve data is pretty simple but the loading time was killing me. it takes over half minuet to load beside my browser start hanging, I was trying to find out what is causing the issue, and I realized the website got too many ads and this what causing the slow down.

Since I had to search that website over 1500 time, and every time it would takes that long I can imagine it will take forever

So, After spending one day, I got sick of the situation and decided to do something about it.

I searched for an ad blocker to stop ads from loading. I wasn't sure if there is such a thing, but my friend Google helped me land on a really nice extension for Chrome to block Ads

The extension name is adblock plus and it seems to be available for both Chrome and FireFox. This is a free extension that you can install from Chrome or FireFox extension store.

No more Google Ads, no more youtube ads, no more any type of ads. Yes, I will finally watch a youtube video without spending half minuet watching a silly ads.
Now, some of you may say wait a minuet this is not a new tool. Well, I guess not since it was the winner of About.com in 2011. However, it is new to me, and might be new to other warriors as well

This tool just made my day, and wanted to share it with warriors hope it make your day as well if you didn't know about it.

Ok, so let me get this right. You are in the biggest marketing forum on the Internet telling a bunch of marketers how they should block all ads from every website?

Haha, sorry but as a marketer I want to see every single ad out there. I want to see what others are doing, what's working, what's not. How can you be a great marketer if you aren't watching what others are doing?

I can only imagine most other marketers would feel the same way?

lol. Well, just like anything else, ads shall be around on its right time.

You can disable and enable the extension.

I am one of the people that can easily interrupted. If I am doing something important, I don't think it would be the right time to check ads.

That is also the case when you checking a website that has more ads than content.

There is a huge difference between having an ad on your website, and having an overwhelmed website with ads and little content.

Now, in my specific case, I am saving at lease 25 second out of 30 second in every time i hit the search button. That is 37500 second = 10.41 hrs out of my update. Don't tell me this time is not worth saving

I was half being serious and half poking fun.

I am sure there are some people who will find a tool like that of use for certain things -- just like you did.

So thanks for sharing -- seriously.
