Lol no... if you're in that sticky of a situation, save your money and waste money another day if you really feel like throwing money away at a "I'm a millionaire" style WSO.

Also, ignore this completely.. it does NOT take money to make money.

Ok, so you registered on Elance right? What skills do you possess that others can acquire and further their website or business with?

You can either write (even though it doesn't look like Native English is your first language) or if you can code, they make considerably more than article writers in most scenarios.

However, if you're just looking for some cheap money right now, Digital Point has plenty of jobs with foreigners looking to outsource their content creation work to anyone who will accept it for sub-human rates. Yeah, it sucks but if the situation is that grim, then your only other option is to find something you're good at and freelance it elsewhere or to sell personal belongings.

Since you don't have the funds right now to purchase a membership and launch a WSO, those really are the only options you have, other than obtaining a loan from someone. You'll get PMs and a lot of people recommending you to buy one of their friend's e-books or some "I'll show you how to make a ton of money and only charge you $7 (lol)", just ignore those people.

          Conclusion:

1 - Freelance a potential skill that you're good at.

          2 - Sell personal belongings.

Sorry, I wish the internet marketing world had a magical button that printed money, but unfortunately it doesn't.

Actually thats 100% wrong it always takes money to make money. Even your examples of freelance working. Internet is not free, electricity is not free, computers are not free, etc.

See my point, you always have to spend something to make something.

            To the OP:

If you have any marketable skills then Elance is a very good suggestion to get you going you can make a lot of money on Elance. On there also you will notice that they have a free and a paid status option. The paid membership lets you bid on more jobs. Go with the paid membership if you are able to it is well worth it.

Well if we're going to go that in-depth with it. You can live off of the land, learn to carve furniture and go door to door in towns/cities trying to sell furniture.

So no, it doesn't "technically" take money to make money.

I was generalizing since he clearly has an internet connection, or he's a wizard. I was laying out his basic free options for him since he doesn't have the funds to do anything else.

        Hey,

It's ok, don't worry, you don't have to spend anything to make money. Trust me, I was making a regular income from my writing, and I spent $0 to get my clients.

So, you've joined elance. Can you tell us what your skills are? Can you do any of the services? Services like web designing can get you earning enough money in no time. In fact, I just hired a web designer for one of my projects, and I'm sure there are 100s of marketers who need similar services. If you don't know coding or designing, there are plenty of FREE resources on the internet from where you can learn everything you need to learn about coding.

Also, there are a lot of demand for virtual assistants out there. Basic typing skills is enough to land you a decent online job, though you need to be extremely careful of scammers (they are everywhere) so you don't end up working for nothing.

I'm not sure what you are good at, so answering this question is kind of difficult for me. Anyway, don't get too overwhelmed, and don't give up too soon. PM me anytime, or add me at skype if you can't PM (mention this thread though) and I'll help you out in any way I can.

Hope this helped you somehow, and all the best!

        Aarthi.

I believe this thread's title should be "Need advices FOR noob" ...
    anyway, some advices :
    1. get a skill
    2. if you don't have, get one, learn it, you don't need to be 'guru' or 'pro'. sell something that all people can do, but they're to lazy to do it. manual comments, manual posting, submit articles manually.
    3. if you don't willing to learn, get a job, you're not fit with IM World

sorry if I sound harsh ...

Don't take this the wrong way, and it's nothing directed at you, but just in general, having a strong command of the English language is very important. Specially if you're going to be dealing with clients through on line. Work on your English and make it as best as it can be. That is probably one of the strongest skills to add to your arsenal. Best of luck.

No panic, i was a lot like you years ago. There are many ways you can earn money online. You can sell anything you are good at at Elance,fiverr,guru,freelancer.... These are not big money, but you are surely can make like $500-$1,500 per month without problem. For more sustainable way, you need to learn marketing. You get freelancers work for you, not you working for others.

  • I might suggest you going to oDesk for starters. From there, work your wonders around it.
I will have to make a few comments on the people who replied to this thread though. First, the idea of "money begets money" is true, but it does not mean that you have to spend to earn. There are tons of ways to EARN without spending a single cent. It is true that the best results are being paid for, but if you exercise your creativity around existing free ideas, your results will surely at par with the results that are being paid for.

Ok, you are not making very much sense to me. This is because you say you "registered on Elance". May I ask WHY YOU DID THAT?

You are a noob and know about Elance?

To use Elance you need to be a programmer, or a software buyer.
If you are broke, how could you be either???

My guess is you need to search for companies that pay you to:

    Post articles from your computer
    Take Surveys

I have never done either, but when you DON'T HAVE MONEY, you NEED to do Physical Labor. So, find a company like I mentioned, and work night and day.

Maybe someone can expand on this idea?

    Thanks
