Coming out into the IM world with a pseudonym?

Hello People...

If a person plans to create and market his/her own info. products (niche/non-IM and/or IM-based) for privacy and security reasons, would it be OK to use a pseudonym?

There are some Internet Marketers who teach a whole lot of affiliate secrets, and disguise themselves to be Mr. X or Mr. A and such.

What do you think about the credibility of such people? Would you buy their products, if the products are good?

Thanks for your views...

I remember Ryan Deiss did a launch with some "Mr X" character as his partner, and I thought the whole thing was stupid, and I would never have bought what was being offered, whatever it was.

But that's a long way from someone simply using a pen name. If you want to do that, it's fine.

I plan on using a few pseudonyms, especially for entering niches such as the hemorrhoid market.

Don't want anyone thinking I've got bum grapes!

Exactly, it was somewhat stupid of me to write about Mr. X and Mr. A and stuff; and not write about the pen-name idea...

I would not like to use Mr. X kinda names either, but a pen name, perhaps a name like Steve or something. Would that be OK to do?

I wouldn't even prefer writing 'PLR Expert Master,' I'd like people to call me as 'Steve Masters' or something. Now, that could have its own problems. What do you guys think?
