How Do You Think About This Niche?

Hi Warriors,

What are your opinion on the "save money" niche?

From Google keyword tool, the keyword "save money" has a average search volume (monthly) of 301,000 and a CPC of US$3.53.

With a good amount of high commission affiliate products and high advertiser competition (meaning high AdSense potential), how does it worth?

Regards,
William

So how will you attract visitors? It has to be one of the more crowded niches. I´m not even sure it is a niche. There are 718.000 pages with that title phrase

I believe one of the best and longer term ways to attract visitors is via search engine optimization (SEO). A domain name with respective keyword in it will be ideal.

Implemented with (WordPress) blog platform, we can submit the RSS feed to RSS directories.

Article submission and social bookmarking are good to increase its SERP and traffic generation too. Plus email marketing to existing list.

The key question is - with all the good points, can we conclude "save money" is a good money niche?

I think "save money" niche is not so nice to promote or to make a site. Because as I was yearning in the last two years in internet world I've noticed that some niches are only nice in campaign but if you tried to join or sign up their site it feels bad to me. Just because they don't really give the right quality that I was looking for. They are only good in campaigns that's it. So if your goal is to make people satisfy on your niche then you should produced or make it. Just be sure that you are not after with the money of your audience.

        Ahhh, very good ideas! Thanks.

I'm more referring to the niche on "how to save money" or "maximizing the dollars". It's rather competitive IMO which should give rise to the opportunity to monetize from it ie. AdSense, affiliate, CPA etc.

save money will be too much competitive. Use long tailed keywords, like 'save money on so and so' or maybe 'free ways to save money' etc.

Clarify your question. Do you want my opinion on the "save money" NICHE or on the KEYWORD "save money"?

I'm almost certain you're getting at the keyword itself "save money" in the search engines - and if this is the case, you've got some work to do for that term. My opinion? BAD IDEA.

    Horrible, actually.

    Hi

Personally I think you need to take 'save money' as a starting point for your research.....

'Save money' is just too broad.... I think if you target the right area within 'save money' then you could find a buying niche.

Think possibly along the lines of helping people with every day things that will help them in the current financial climate

    How about -

'Save money on your gas / electricity bills at home'
    'Save money your vehicle fuel'
    'Save money with your bank'

    etc ....

Ive just rolled them off the top of my head with no research but you see what im getting at

'Save money' should be your broad keyword starting point.. Now time to go deeper and deeper

If you can offer a genuine solution to people to help them save money then you will make money here

For example if you know you can help people save $100 off something and you are willing to provide them with that for say $27 its a no-brainer for the buyer

Just makesure you can live up to what ever you claim

Best of luck, hope that helps

Thanks you Dean for your great inputs.

Yes, if the website on this "save money" niche is informational with good articles/content in "save money at home", "save money without feeling poor", "how to save on domestic electricity bill" etc. it should and will be a good niche to explore and monetize with.

Thanks for the warriors who have responded, including the PMs
