These numbers can they be that easy to hit?...this is inspiring

I remember reading willie crawford blog earlier this year where he stated that one os his goal is to build two niche websites a day. At first i thought that was crazy and tasking too.

But few minutes ago i was doing some mathematical experiement on my online business as i want to set new goals for myself financially working just 6hrs a day ad outsouring heavily.

I wrote down something like this:

Set-up 3 websites a week= means 144 affiliate websites after 12 months.

If each site makes me $20 a day that would be $2,880.

That means $86,400 a month and finally that equalls to:

$1,036,800 a year.

I would really love to earn such and if someone of my age makes that i would have the police looking for me everyday in the country where i come from.

Now i was thinking if i focus on this business model. Just banging out 3 niche websites a week and submitting 50 articles for each of those websites every month. Every month each website gets a new 50 articles directed to it.

Do you think i will be able to hit that number?

What of $500,000?

Waiting for your responses and thoughts.

Well, the first thing you'd have to develop is the business-mentality. You need to STICk to your plan/schedule religiously.. Have fixed working hours, and actually WORK. Don't get distracted, don't pick up the phone during your working hours. Have a short 15 minutes break after each 2 hours (but then get back to work).

I wish you the BEST of luck! Playing the numbers-game might be fun, but you have to realize that there's actually a truckload of work involved.

    Hi Kenneth

Anything is possible on the internet, but before you go crazy and develop tons of sites, I would suggest that you build one, focus all your attention on it and see how much work it takes to market the site to its full potential. Once you have a marketing system in place for your first one, I would then create a second one that you can plug into your marketing system. Writing articles is great, but I would suggest you put together a full marketing plan to maximize the exposure and sales for each website.

Developing websites is only part of the equation. Your marketing is where your money is

    Talk again soon.

    Enjoy your day!

I agree, I have found that focusing on just one main genuine site based on a legit business (see my music site in sig) gives me focus and I can easily add a new blog or feature onto the one domain and benefit from the page rank and visibility of the main site.

I also have a bunch of niche sites that got nowhere that I now consider my "experimental" sites where I try new things out. This is a really good way because I don't do any junky, pay per review, black hat or ppc on my legit site. I learn allot my experimental sites that I then use on my main site.

I always start with $20 a day as a base mark for each of my affiliate websites - however I think taking the long term into consideration it's better to have less sites but build them into authority sites, rather than having hundreds of sites that are thin on content, backlinks etc.

I've been building niche websites for about 2 years now, but I prefer never to go over 50 - I sell any that don't make at least $10 a day, and I build the winners up to earning $50 or even $100 a day.

It depends on how much you're willing to outsource though - with alot of outsourcing I'm sure you could build and maintain 144 sites. I don't think article marketing should be your only method of gaining traffic though, and I think you need to factor in other methods of backlinking as well.

I am sure that you COULD do it, as long as you out sourced most of it. Even if you could come up with the idea for that many articles, writing them even at 10 minutes each would take 1,200 hours a month. And then they have to be submitted or posted or what ever. I don't want to discourage you, as I have played that numbers game many times myself. It is interesting to know what the potential is, if you do .....

Best plan is to get started with one or two sites and see what you can do. After you know what you are doing, then just grow it as large as you can. I think it is better to have one site that makes $100 a day than ten sites that make $10 a day. And I see many posts from people that are making $100 to $300 or more per day from a site they own.

Right now I am not making anything, so this opinion may be worth just that. But I finally got a plan together and I have started to put it into operation. And I have someone that is helping me with advice. But I am starting on one site, and then I will expand.

    Anyway, good luck.

Isn't this the dangerous 'all of your eggs in one basket' thinking? What if that site is deindexed or loses its biggest source of traffic? What if someone hijacks the domain and you can't get it back for some reason? There are any number of scenarios that could cause you to lose the income from that one site and then where are you?

Yes, it's probably more work to maintain 10 websites than one, but then you have your income more spread out. It's safer.

What have you lost, you'll get it back in 15 days tops. And If you are earning say $1200 from 10 sites instead of having $20 per sites and 60 of them. What have you really lost?

You still have made $1200 per day for some time if we assume you didn't get hacked instantly. Affiliate links you could always change. Or create your own product. It's not fun after getting hijacked but I could live with $1200 for two weeks, and depending on how long you have run on that level of $1200, you could have enough money to get by for months.
But if you have 60 sites if they all are on one hosting account, they could all be hijacked.

10 sites doing $120 in 10 different niches are enough. But, also it's the same money as 60 sites and $20 day per site.

I guess it's up to each one of us. And Thank godness for that.

building 2 sites every single day that all bring in $20 per day would not be a trivial undertaking. The forum is full of people who have sites that don't make that in a month - and they put a lot more time and effort in them then what you are proposing.

I think Hamida's approach is more realistic - and I think she's kicking butt to be pulling it off! I think 50 sites making daily sales is pretty amazing.

I just think your expectations of what sort of income each site will generate is not realistic.

If willie still does this sort of thing, you got to respect the man. Most guru's aren't still slugging it out down in the trenches with the normal folk

I'm just a beginner but I find Hamida's post very encouraging and inspiring. Its great to hear from someone who genuinely IS making good money from a selection of niche websites. So many of the big "names" talk about niche markets but they are actually making their money out of the likes of ME!

I've just built my first website and I'm busy learning how to attract traffic to it...

It can be done .. I build 3 websites in 2 days to promote Clickbank products

Total hours spent : 10-12 hours (5-6h/ day). Now, a month later I have made $350-$400 off those 3 little websites.

I build these sites as a small experiment for a newbie friend of mine to show him if I would start over again, I would still be able to make money right off the bat. And the beauty of it is that now I can go over to sitepoint and sell the sites for at least $1k-$2k whenever I need the quick cash.

So .. building niche mini websites is a great way to make money. However it breaks down to 2 important problems you will face : 1) How to chose the best money keywords 2) How to market the mini sites properly

Once you have these 2 figured out and the work force (either you're an workaholic or you can afford to outsource everything) .. it's money in the bank

    Taylor,
You have a valid point. But the point that I was trying to make is still valid, I believe. Having 144 sites to work on is quite a task. I think it is better to have less sites and try to generate more income from each site. So once you get that one site to generate $100, then start a second site, or maybe do that when it makes $50. I don't know what would be best, but the thought of just churning out site after site each week, rather than build a site or two and work on generating the income, and then expanding based on what your results and time available is, is a better method, in my opinion. But, like I said, I have yet to make a dime online, outside of eBay some years ago.

You'd be stretching yourself thin if you're just starting out. You need money for traffic, articles, contents. Spreading that to tons of sites give you tons of sites that don't make money.
