Does it make any difference if a .co.uk domain is hosted on U.S servers?

Or should it be on U.K servers only?

Thanks
Rob

Depends if you're targeting people in the UK. Obviously it's going to be better hosting the site in the UK if that's who you're after.

UK is def better if you would like to have a slight advantage by bigG but its not very decisive though ( I have seen websites in russian servers hit it hard in us )

  • It does not matter, however, if your target audience is not from the United Kingdom, then it is possible that you may get less results.

Success doesn't come in an instant, just like Rome wasn't built in a day.

I have hosted all my .co.in domains at BlueHost...and they are located in the US.
I don't think it has affected my in any way. Does it really affect?

      Yes, it really does, Mousumi.

Here's Google's Matt Cutts explaining it himself (and my own personal experience of comparing before/after UK-hosting for a UK niche bears out what he says, too - it really does make a difference) ...

I think it dose not matter. Just you have to optimize your site and have to take a good Hosting.
and .co.uk is UK targeted domain, so you may get a good number of traffic from UK if you optimize your site sell.
    Best of Luck.
