Is the investing niche harder than others?

My niche is in the investing, finance niche.

Is this niche harder than other niches in terms of article marketing and etc?

Any experiences would be great.

hmm, it depends on how you approach it. If you build an authority site with the pass of time you will have success (even though takes a lot of time) but if you are the make money fast type than I dont really think so

Customer skepticism is a lot higher in that niche than most others. Speaking as a customer myself, not as someone who's tried to market in the niche. I do have a friend who does that, though, and his opinion is the same.

Well, I don't see much of a difference for most niches. The ease with which something can be accomplished determines on how strong your proven business model is or not is.

Generally, generating leads and sales works the same for any niche. There may be less material on how to do that in the financial niche, but still, the same principles that you learn from the make money online niche apply for the financial niche.

Not exactly.. You have to figure out how your targeted market works, how people think, and what makes them act. People are as predictable as an alarm clock.

I have just got on a call with a marketer who said that my market was difficult and it's best if I go to other niche markets.

Is it really so? Could some experienced marketers advice?

No niche is hard to approach if you know a lot about it. Some will take more time to rank and see the profits.

It's one thing to rank. It's another to have something to offer. These are 2 different things. If you have something to offer, people will find you eventually and will recommend your product to friends. If you don't, even the best position in the search engines will not make your business successful.

I think every niche is tough these days with the exception of new ones that are being created each year, but that's okay. With a good product you can still make money.

        ^^ Exactly.

In my experience, investors are often jaded and skeptical of search results unless the brand is familiar. The OP mentioned article marketing, which if done on a consistent basis, can provide warm traffic by targeting investors directly. Consider syndicating articles with demonstrable expertise to online/offline publications which are read by your targeted demographics. Some products to offer can be found on Amazon. For example, there are literally thousands of books covering topical aspects within this niche.

Yes, article marketing is my main marketing strategy as it feels natural to me. And it works just fine. I am in the sub-niche of this niche and I don't complain. I also know this niche very well because I am a practitioner (a day trader), and I think that can help quite a bit to enhance the credibility of what you have to offer.

I think this is going to be the best advice given on the topic. I've been lifting for 10.5 years, fitness modeling for 2, and personal training for 4. I have seen it ALL when it comes to the health industry. the diet pills, the 30 day workouts, the home workouts, the bodybuilder workouts, the snake potions promising muscle gain. I've lost 20lbs, i've gained 30lbs of muscle. I've done, seen, and heard just about everything. I can take 4 700 word articles and make them instantly unique with my own wording and "voice" because i know so much about the niche.

I know i'm coming off as a know it all but that is not my intention. With that knowledge, I can also spin up ebooks that cater extremely well to the market because I know what the majority of fitness consumers are looking for and how they think. With all that said, if you really know what the hell you're talking about you can make just about any niche profitable providing you know how to spin a product out of your knowledge.

Yes, I agree, but I do not understand why you are talking about "spinning." That may have negative connotations. It's not about spinning in this case. It's about genuine knowledge that "experts" with a few month experience based on web reading do not simply have.

I think it all depends on what keywords you're using regardless of the niche you're in.

  • It is a very difficult niche to get into. ..... . not as hard as 'insurance'. But it is WAY up there as far as authority is concerned.

But there are some gems in there as far as how to approach it.

    There is the PPC approach
    The viral approach
    The media approach
    The long-tail-keyword approach

So as far as 'competitive' you have to be more specific.

It all depends on one thing only and this is, how you promote it. For example, Article marketing, video and social marketing etc. are some ways you can promote it. Guest posting would really be worth doing.

From My own view there's no hard or easy niches, any niche you choose you can succeed well if you know how to....

These days there's lot's of competition in every niche.

choose "desperate buyer keywords" with low competition for your websites and you'll make it fast
