I don't care how small they are, sales sure feel good!

I sent out a blog Thursday announcing special holiday rates on all my current offerings and I also introduced a new product yesterday. A couple of sales have trickled in, including two new members to my course and two people who purchased the new product.
A grand total of about $65 in the last 24 hours, but I sure feel good about it.
Here's why.
1. First of all, everything I have on sale today is my own stuff. All products I created. That's just a great feeling for a lot of reasons.

2. Sales equal validation; at least for me it does. I wrote the copy and put the pages up myself, just using what I could learn and the tools I could find here. The fact that some people are encountering those things and being moved to buy, at any price, is encouraging.

God knows when to send you some encouragement, and it's usually when you're feeling like giving up. I wasn't at that point yet, but mine is a niche most people say you can't be successful in. The last 24 hours have proven to me that I can if I stay the course and keep going.

My site doesn't get a lot of traffic yet so what I was able to do in the last day or so came strictly from my very small list, my twitter and my fan page. So when I get the whole traffic thing down, I think I'll be on my way guys.

Not really asking a question or making a point here, just feeling good and sharing the vibe!

Have a wonderful Christmas gang. Thanks to all of you who constantly give, share and encourage around here. You make this community what it is.

That's awesome to hear. I am currently in a coaching program. I can't wait to create my own product and make my first sale. Again, congrats. Very inspirational.

$65 doesn't sound like much, but if you did that every day for a year, that is 23725. Do twice as much, and it is over the US average. do 5 times as much, and you have a six figure income.

Sales are something which will feel you good as a producer as you are producing the product to be sold. When you are having sales, you are likely to get more and more sales in near future.

In the words of the late Jim Rohn: "Profits are better than wages". You're absolutely right; I don't care how small the commission, I love them when they come from my own efforts.

    Here's wishing you continued success!

  • That's really great. Congratulations, keep it up! And oh yes, it's definitely better to earn from the fruits of your own labor. It's really better to become an executive handling your own business to perfection rather than being an employee earning without the risk.

Why is it that god sometimes doesn't send us encouragement and then we give up? What do you have to say for the people in that boat?

I don't really wish to insert religious quotes in here or whatever, but maybe because some people quit too early before they can even see the encouragement that is supposed to be on their plates already. Or maybe, it is a sign that he has better plans for you.

Yeah, I didn't want to start a religious fight by any means. I reread my post and it sounded a little harsh.

The point I'm making is that I think it's completely in our hands as to whether we give up or push through to see success.

        Congratulations on your success!

There's a very popular song in the Gospel music genre that simply states "sometimes you have to encourage YOURSELF". So, you're right. It is in our own hands. And in those times when we don't feel or see it coming from some outside source, it's up to us to find the motivation to keep going or not."

As for whether God provides it or not, let's just say He "wrote the book" on it. And it's always available.

But I agree with not making this thread about religion or God. Everybody knows what I do here and the niche I serve, so I thought one mention in passing would be safe.

      Back to feeling good!

Yes you can never forget how good it is to see your first sale. I remember mine was $27 but it felt like thousands. You know that if you can make one you can certainly make more.
People want products that answer their questions. If you have that type of product you cannot go wrong.
