Ever wondered whether Google or YouTube can make you easy Money?

    I generated over a half million visitors using a total of eight 30 second videos within six months time. Estimate that 90 percent of traffic to videos came from search engines. Made me thousands of dollars. Youtube deleted the videos cause they were against rules.

    Youtube videos rank much quicker and for competitive keywords easier than your own sites do but IME they tend to be shorter lived most of the time so it's easy to make quick bucks with YT videos but sites in the long term work better, they just take more time to earn.

    If you mean getting traffic to your site then adwords, a program run on Google, is the best. I know most people here can't use this anymore but it still is a huge source of targeted fast traffic.

    I have seen a ton of products for ranking YouTube videos, but don't know anybody that is making money doing it. Unless you are a Vlogger and getting tons of traffic, getting paid by YouTube.

    If any of you can share what you are doing to make money using YouTube, I am all ears.

    Although I agree with the idea of YouTube's faster approach in traffic collection than Google, I quite disagree that YouTube will lead you to more profit. I mean, for one thing, more traffic doesn't mean more profit. Another thing, why can't we have both? YouTube is Google's property anyway.

    Youtube is faster and better. But nowadays, you need to be a little careful as Youtube is getting strict with promotional type of videos. What you need to do is make your videos a little informative and don't link directly to affiliate sites. You should instead direct to a lead capture page or your blog.

    I have gotten a fair amount of traffic to my site from You Tube videos, but it's not my largest source of traffic. I'd say Twitter, then Facebook, then Google, then You Tube, in that order. That could also mean that I'm not spending enough time making videos, or don't know how to rank them in the right way. It definitely has a good chance of ranking on Google without the back links, but not every video ranks, and I can't tell you exactly why.

      Yes, YouTube can be used to send potential buyers to your site, but those buyers need to find your video first and that is not going to happen if you do not optimize and market your channel properly.

      It is also important to read the YT TOS carefully if you do not want your vids and channels flagged and deleted.

      YouTube is looking for quality and they are beginning to penalize those channels/accounts which do not provide good content on a regular basis.

      These days, you need to think of your channel as being your website and your videos as being your content. The more quality information you provide, the greater the chance of ranking.

    Hi there

    Well i am a fan of video creation so i would opt for Youtube - i usually outsource the article creation.
    I can add more flare and my own character in the videos more so than i can in the articles, so that tends to be for me.....and they rank faster too.
    I've had videos rank on the same day and stay there. Make a few different videos for the same niche and take the first few spots in google and youtube.

    Both are major sites and both have traffic within it. It's not how fast you earn. Don't think of the money to be received first when investing in internet marketing stuffs. You have to first focus on identifying a target market and how to attract them.

    Google has been good to my sites. I haven't used YouTube much other than hiring someone to make the videos for me. I think there are still some people like me who go to the search engines first when looking for something. I have very little interest in watching videos so I don't market that way often.
