Goodreads & Kindle?

Just came across a book that explained a good way of getting your self-published book out there is to get it on goodreads.com ... this work for anyone?

    Hi,

    I work for a publisher and she puts all her books on GoodReads. If your book is new you can setup a free giveaway that will include the URL to where people can read the book. It has worked well for us.

    Once the book is listed on GoodReads (usually by the site administrator) then you can list it under "Explore" then "Giveaways". You get to type in the description, the URL where the book can be purchased, etc. It gives you great exposure.

    Yes, Goodreads is a great place to market your books. What I've done is before my book is even complete, you can enter all the details about it and build some hype up. It's something that you DEFINITELY want to include in your Kindle marketing plan.

    That's cool, will definitely give this a try.

    I've used ebook sharing sites to market my book by uploading a chapter or something and I find I get a pretty decent amount of referral traffic to my sales page.

    You can also run a giveaway on Goodreads if you have a physical copy of your book, which can also give you a lot of exposure.
