Anyone know how?

It generates some traffic - but impossible not to get banned.

You need to take the time to give a good response. Giving a short and generic response and then plugging in a link is not the way to go.

    It's not hard at all.

    1) Follow the TOS

    2) Don't post crap.

If you don't know jack about the subject, DO NOT try to bluff your way through just to get your link out there.

I have several hundred replies posted on YA, and I've never ONCE been banned or even threatened.

Why? Probably because if my link leads to something that has nothing to do with the subject matter, I don't use it.

When I answer a cooking question, I don't post the link to my BBQ site if the poster wants to know how to make a simple white sauce. Doesn't fit.

If a person wants to know about betting horses, I don't post a link to my lottery site. Doesn't fit.

    1) Don't try to "force" un-related links into your posts.

    2) If your reply DOES fit your program, use the link.

    Good luck.

    Pete

    Hi there,

I've been using Yahoo Answers with a single account for over a year now and haven't been banned yet or even had any problems. My best answer rate is currently standing at 56%.

The simple way not to get banned is to give useful / valuable information that answers the question and just put links in the resource section. Include other generic links, e.g. wikipedia, on occasion too and you never have a problem.

The only time you get banned is if you post bad answers and blatantly promote products and try to sell rather than try to help.

    All the best

    Jason

I agree - I've been using Yahoo Answers for over a year as well without a problem. Those I've seen banned in the past have been spamming.
