Has anyone used TrialPay?

TrialPay is supposedly some type of 'alternate payment system" for consumers.
Has anyone here used it or know anything about it?
I've seen something about it on some news sites.

    Yes, I have...

I didn't really care for it too much. I got some 'small' sales from it... You need to implement it correctly, otherwise your customers will go for the trialpay offers *rather* than actually purchasing your product (and of course generally speaking, the revenue you would get would usually be about 33% the price of your product for 'good' offers, so not really a viable swap). You only want them (your customers) to buy the 'trial' pay stuff if they have become 100% certain that there is no way they will use your program/product/service.

For me (at the time), it was a bit too time consuming to implement it correctly such that it would be an 'additional' revenue stream for me.

What did you want to know about it?

I have two competitors in different niches who both have this set up on their sites. I would think it might lower conversions.

    Indeed... it does lower conversions.

It doesn't lower conversions if you 'do it right'. The trick, though, is doing it right. You can, but it can be very time consuming (I know how to do it, but it is just time consuming to do it right with existing products).

If you are launching a new product, I would look at doing it. But for existing ones, you'll need to re-work it so you don't lower conversions.

I'm using it at the moment, and it's been ok for me. Admittedly, it's been a short time only, and I'd need to see performance over a longer period to be sure, but I suspect that it's getting me a few sales I wouldn't otherwise have made (due to where I've promoted the offer).

    As always, Warriors come through.

Sounds like too much trouble and not very useful.

    Thanks everyone for your help.
