What's Special About Internet Marketing?

The one thing which makes this business stand out from anything else is the freedom it provides. You get out what you put in, simple as that. You get to choose when you work and how long you work for, you get to work on a beach if you have a wifi connection or the middle of no where. All you need is a wifi connection! In this age with iphones, ipad etc... you can earn money while on the move and still get work done, its just the freedom it gives, thats why I enjoy it.

But isn't that true for offline business also? When I go on vacation my offline business doesn't stop. One phone call is all it takes to get things going.

While I would agree but every offline business owner I have spoken to worries when they go away because they are not there if something goes wrong. When ever I go away with my family, 3 (Each have their own company) of them are on the phone checking in and making sure everything is ok. I asked the question, what if something goes wrong? Same answer I get all the time, I hope that someone there knows what they are doing. That isn't the same as online, unless your in like the middle of the rain forrest. No matter the country you will always be able to find an internet connection and fix something if something breaks.

Point taken lol. The deal is .. most of my offline stuff is already being run by someone else. I just show up a few times a month. I probably have employees who do not know I am their boss. I like it like that.

I also believe that internet marketing is addictive. I cannot travel unless I pack my trusty laptop. Internet marketing gives you that freedom that allows you to do just that and it is always exciting to check your accounts and see that you have made money while you sleep.

Its special to me because you have the ability to target people looking for the exact thing you are offering. You can read people's minds and give them what they want. I would like to have that power with all women. It would be an unfair advantage.

For me it's a game. I'm a very competitive person and I love the challenge to figure out how to drive more traffic cheaply, get better conversions on an existing funnel, etc. It's all a numbers game and I'm a math major who loves to track and try to beat the odds.

It's definitely cheaper than offline marketing. Plus it's easy to "jump in" and get started right away. But marketing online is simply 1 more marketing medium. In truth... you should be using offline marketing and online marketing to get sales. The easiest form of offline marketing that you can use is direct mail.
