I wonder how do you sell your products or promote your affiliate links on facebook. What methods do you use?

1. Direct link to friends on your private account
2. You own a facebook page where you post daily
3. Use a facebook app to sell you products
4. Promote your products using facebook ads

    I find it useful to contact owners of large fan pages and ask them to post a status update with my link. Of course, the page needs to be relevant to your niche. Sometimes you may have to pay the page owner a small fee, and it takes testing to find out if the update is worth the money.

    Conversion rate (CR) of FB is low. However, you still can make money with affiliate programs through FB.

    To make a good living FB, maybe you need at least 10,000 likes (fans). Make sure that they are on your niche to get max results.

    I've used FB to advertise and didn't get much results. Tried targeting a specific demographic that was right for our product along with mass advertising with few limitations and both had poor results. Also their stats didn't correspond with what google analytics was reporting at all...
