Video Marketing: How to promote viral video but no specific product for it

Hi everyone. Let say I have a video that goes viral but it's not related to any product. What the best way to moneytize it?

One of the idea I have is to promote a product that lot of people needs eg: Weight Loss.

But I am not really sure how to promote it in the description..

(1) Should I promote the product directly (even thought the video has nothing to do with the product)

(2) Or should I use misleading description and anchor link that can generates lot of click.

I haven't do any split testing yet.
I just want to hear some feedback and opinion.

Thanks.

You find out your demographics and then find offers that those people would be interested in.

For example, if you had a Justin Bieber video go viral then obviously your demographic for that would be young teenage girls. So CPA email submit offers for free iphones or makeup trials would probably go well. So would ringtone offers possibly.

If your video was targeting teenage boys then maybe some type of computer game products would go well instead.

Message to market match is very important.

      Thanks Will.
Checking out the demography is a nice idea.

      How about the description?

Let say I want to promoto ringtone offers.. Should I just tell them directly like this, " Click the link above to get cool ringtones"

In addition to Will's suggestions, I'd monetize it with Youtube/Google Adsense.

Thanks for the suggestion Kurt, but the vid got some copyright content
So I don't really want to take risk on my main Adsense account.

If you already have one viral video, then add an annotation sending them on to another video which you have made (use the same technique) but which mentions a specific product.
