How do I gauge competition for video marketing?

I'm looking to rank a video for a few different keywords. Right now, I have several possible candidates, but not sure how many I can target per vid or if I should make a separate vid for each one, etc.

I'm not even sure if the vids would be considered too competitive to supplant. I'd appreciate it if you could look at my list and let me know which ones are the most viable targets and if you'd take a single vid or multi-vid approach to the entire list. Thanks for taking a look.

The figures you have shown are very interesting, but it is quite possible to surpass even long standing videos with lots of views comments etc

Start off by doing a Google search for each keyword. If a video appears on the first page of Google, then you have a better chance of ranking than if there is no videos showing.

Make a separate channel and several videos for each keyword.

Thanks for responding Sandy. I get that you have a better chance of ranking if theres already a vid on the first page, but how do you know if you can outrank the vid thats already there? Is there some criteria like <20k view, <200 links? Which of the keywords in the above list of mine would choose to target in a initial vid? Thanks for responding.

SEO your channel properly, same for your video. Go look at all the top vids for your chosen term in YT. Study them.

Look at their keywords (view source to see them).
        Do they have voice over?
        Do they have captions?
How have they worded their titles and descriptions?
How many video responses do they have?

You can use the videos from your other related channels to do your own video responses to your primary video.
You are also allowed to "like" your own video
Every time you view your own video, it counts.
The length of time you watch your own video also counts, so let it run through.
Keep your video private until you have everything in place then go public and bulk ping it immediately.

By making separate channel, you also mean creating new account right?

If I'm not wrong, one account only has one channel.
