Is this using the old overlay style trick or has something changed at YT for certain partners?

    It's a new feature being tested and is only and will only ever be available for special partners. There is too much room for abuse of something like this so they would never roll it out site-wide.

        Special Partner - fully approved by youtube i.e. phone verified, linked to Google+, linked to Adsense etc.
