What's the best autoresponder to use for a newsletter? I use to use Aweber. It was pretty good. Any others you'd highly recommend? I'm hoping to do that for cheap.

Aweber has high delivery rate.. if you can build a list successfully and not break even at Aweber.. then i guess you need help in engaging your list .. and the problem might not be an autoresponder..
if you got with selfhosted Autoresponders or wannabe autoresponders then get ready to deal with delivery issues and your domains getting listed on DBL - The Spamhaus Project and SURBL

Of course I'm going to agree with your original post I've been using aweber since day 1 and will never turn my back on them!

Aweber is the way to go, however if you want to look for something else, you might want to check iContact.

I use Aweber and quite satisfied on their service, but it took me a while to understand how it works when I used it for the first time.

Aweber is my autoresponder of choice for a number of reasons. The functionality and delivery is great. If you have a small list and are looking for a no cost option, have a look at Mailchimp. I've heard its good but can't vouch for it as I haven't used it.

Mailchimp is free for first 2000 subscribers. Use it if you want to try things out.

Aweber is market leader but they are expensive. Another one you can try similar to them is GetResponse.

I am now using a cheap solution by Amazon, SES (Simple Email Service) they charge 10 cent for every 1000 emails sent and so far the sending rate has been good.

You can try them out. But you will need your own email software to deliver the emails.

Mailchimp Is good and free, I've used it when i was a starter but you cannot custom the subscribe buttons and add me to list buttons and yes the badge ( MAILCHIMP ). the better alternativ for aweber is Getresponse, everething at your hand.

Hahaha all of you guys spending... Nah I use a free wp plugin that includes autoresponder, and delivers to the user the message, it is great it includes so many options even more than Aweber, it also has an option to put a "subscribe" button as widget then you can copy the HTML code and make a squeeze page within seconds, also if you edit the HTML code you can change what the button says, what the filling boxes say, it is a great freebie Try it out.

Aweber is expensive than the competitors but worth the money if you compare with the fuss involved in sorting out delivery issues with several other services.

You'll find a lot of marketers use Aweber. Once you start using it and know your way around it has a very user friendly interface. So long as you keep to white hat marketing tactics your list will also be pretty safe with them too.

This is important because as your list grows and more of your business comes from email marketing you're going to want to be sound in the knowledge that your list is safe and in good hands.
