Hey warriors,

I was curious How to find daily traffic #'s for a blog post or forum post

That way if you are trying to do guest commenting or forum posting you can try to filter out the ones that get traffic and do not so that you can maximize your time. Thanks!

I know how to get traffic site for my own website, I use Google Analytic. Not sure whether it is possible or not to get traffic details for forum posting.

I think Google Analytics would be your answer.

You can't. It was just a drive-by comment from someone who hadn't (a) read your question properly, or (b) thought about it. Ignore it.

You can't. There isn't a reliable way, just like there isn't a reliable way for them to know how much traffic your site gets.

If you're in the internet marketing niche, then possibly, arguably, an "Alexa ranking" might give you a very rough indication, because that allegedly measures the number of visitors with the so-called "Alexa toolbar" installed and running, and those people are internet marketers, and that may (if measured correctly, which I very much doubt) give an indication, if you multiply it by the number you first thought of and subtract the color of the engine driver's socks. But other than that, you have only the site owner's word for it, really?

Are there really so many forums and blogs in your niche that you can afford to be selective on the basis of your perception of their traffic numbers? I envy you. I'm happy to make value-adding comments/posts on any relevant blogs and in any relevant forums I can. I don't really care that much what their traffic is, myself. Their value to me (for the traffic, and the backlink) depend mostly on their relevance, anyway. I might occasionally waste the odd two minutes commenting on a site without traffic, but it's hardly very important in the overall scheme of things?

I would really spend an entire day going over the many advantages and features of Google Analytics... in 2013 is going to be about building a SOLID business and your metrics need to be on point.

You need to know EXACTLY which keywords are making you the most money so you can capitalize on them, instead of flying blind.

You can not get traffic details of a website that you does not have access to verify with you analytic account.

Do you want to shade your personal details with others? here? If answer is no, it is obvious that people will not allow you to view their details traffic information. But you always have some option to get little data using Alexa, if you will you a lot of ( ? ) information that can help you but again, you can not get specific of details data.

you can try compete or quantcast, but take their numbers with a grain of salt.. smaller sites get some very erratic numbers from them.

On the list of topics page, forums give you the number of views each topic has had. That should be very accurate. Just check on the main forum index page. It's the last column to the right.
