A Very Important Lesson I Learnt About Having A Mentor To Help You

Since 2012, there have been many mentoring programs of internet marketers wanting to help newbies start their online businesses starting with Marketing With Anik.

As much as you need a mentor for guidance online, here is my advice for you:

1. If you already have a business model be it affiliate marketing, list building, lead generation, local marketing, niche marketing or e-commerce, you should find a mentor with a similar business model to yours.

For instance if I want to make money without spending any money on traffic, it won't make any sense to find an expert in paid traffic to be your mentor. You are wasting your time and your mentor's time as well.

Likewise if I want to do e-commerce or drop shipping, it won't make any sense to find an expert in affiliate marketing to be your mentor or vice versa.

2. If you do not have a business model and don't know how or where to get started, it is essential to find out and know what you are good at before even thinking about marketing online.

You can still get a mentor to help you but whether you have a business model or not, once you have a mentor, you have to forget everything you know or think you know about internet marketing and start focusing and doing everything your mentor tells you.

Even if some of the things may make you uncomfortable like having to sacrifice your time and the things you always been doing in exchange for your mentor to spend time teaching you and you learning and implementing what he or she tells you.

If you already have a business model and are making $ but like to scale up your businesses whether it is through free or paid methods, you need not just a mentor but one who has done and succeeded in exactly what you want to do.

That is the way it is and I can or will say it is the fastest and guaranteed way to make money online.

No matter what or how you try to interprete, it can't be changed.

3. Internet marketing is a wide spectrum in general, you need to find a model that suits you best and whichever it might be, stay committed to it with or without a mentor.

Awesome information. I'm not one for mentors myself, but the matching of interests has got to be important.

Yup, find a mentor that will polish your skills and take your chosen business model to the next level. Some people, choose a mentor when they have no business model and that doesn't go that well.

Figure out what interests you the most, give it a try for awhile and see how you do. If your results are not as good, then find someone-- who is an expert in that area and reach out to them.

When we traverse through a way that we haven't gone before, we certainly need someone who have been there before. Having a mentor in any field is similar to this. They help you by sharing their experience about the dos and don'ts, tips and advice which is priceless for anyone if they have to manouvre around difficult paths, be it internet or any other field.

I use the same criteria for deciding whether or not to purchase a program. If I'm interested in free traffic, there is no way I'm buying anything on paid traffic.

One thing I make sure of is whether or not they have succeeded where I want to succeed, and made money doing what I want to do.

Acting on what you learn is what I've found to be the quickest way to success. A mentor will be coming soon, once I feel like I've plateaued just learning from coaching programs.

I completely disagree. If you have a successful model in one area of IM why wouldn't you want to branch out and learn a new way to profit online?

and if you tried your hand at one IM model with little to no success why not trade up for another IM method if this time around you have a successful mentor guiding you.

There is a fine line between diligence and stubbornness. Move on if it isn't working out for you and if it is working out for you then move on to something new.

Yes, if you have a successful model, you can branch out.

But if your model is not successful, you need to find out what goes wrong before you even move to the next model.

I rather be the master of one trade than jack of all trades and be the master of none. Believe me, when I said when I have gone through the latter stage even before internet marketing.

But my point is as much as it is important to find a mentor, you need someone with the same business model as you if you already have a business model but is not working the way you want. It can be SEO, social media, local marketing or just list building.

If you do not have, you can still get a mentor who may be able to help you find and get what is best for you to start earning $ asap.

But whether you have a model or not, you have to forget everything you know about IM and do exactly what you are told once you decided on having a mentor.

Introduction wise at the beginning, you can tell as much as you know or do not know about internet marketing.

But once it comes to campaign planning and implementation, this is when you shut up and let your mentor talk while you listen and do what he or she says. Because if you don't and keep on chattering what you know, most mentors will be very pissed off.

Believe me, they will. I have gone through that before.

I am currently in a coaching program and probably the best decision I have ever made. I am learning new things I wouldn't even think of. Then there are common sense things where I am like "wow I should of done that."

    I agree.
