1. Let's say I have a blog with 15 older 250-word posts and decide to enlarge them to 1000 word posts and do other things to make them more Google-friendly. Will Google "begin to" like these posts better, or am I better off deleting them and re-posting them when they are finished?

2. I don't really want to link a Facebook fan-page to my personal fb profile. You know. The one with mom on it

But I need a few fan-pages linked to a few sites. What do most do here? Dummy accounts? Multiple accounts?

How does this work?

3. Is there really a FREE and EASY way to create a wordpress e-commerce site? I need to sell products on a clickable gallery. It has to be free. Does this exist?

Most free e-carts have 10 item limits or other catches.

My brother asked me to build a site for him. I said I would. But this is looking harder than I thought it would be.

4. Have a blogger site with 20 or so quality articles on it. I want to resurrect it, but continue to use the blogger platform, however host it on my gator account. Is this possible? Should I do it?.

5. How do I "thank" someone?

You can link the Facebook fan page to your actual Facebook account and no one will know. Just don't 'like' your own page and they will not know who the owner is.

It is possible, but I'd recommend just using Blogger's hosting. It works well and is very fast. No need to use external hosting for such a service.

    How do I "thank" someone?
There's a 'Thanks' button to the right of posts. You can click that or just reply saying thanks, it's really up to you.

I can only really answer those questions unfortunately. All the best!

    1. It is said Google likes updated content.
    2. Jump on over to Google+ build a Google+ Profile and Page.
    3. You can go the shopping cart route, but I advise against it for beginners.
Some reasons why I now steer clear of this model. 1. The pages are to busy.
    2. Often Product Descriptions are copied straight off the Manufacturers Product Info, so it is considered double content. Heavily competitive markets. Of course this is without knowing your niche. It may fly for you or not. I just stay clear of the model out of experience.
    4. I am not to familiar with blogger. You could copy or maybe export the content, spin it a bit and put it on a new site.
    5. There is a thank button at the end of the post.

    1. Google can't read/understand content. It takes a guess or assumption on the user behavior. So my tip is to write for the end user/reader. When they stay for longer and share on social media then google knows that yeah this content is good. Here is a post dedicated to this: 7 Blog SEO Tips to Gain Bulletproof Search Rankings - BlogKori

    2. As the first reply suggested: you can admin a page but people will not know that you are running it. Don't like this page + share any activity from this page to your profile.

    3. There is a service + plugin called ecwid that is free and easy to use.

    4. I suggest you have your own self hosted wordpress blog. Then export your posts from blogger to wordpress with the built in export/import function.

    5. THANK this post by clicking on the button

My experience with this has been different. I've gone back and updated/expanded articles that were already on my site and seen better rankings for them within a couple of weeks. (This was after months of being in more or less the same spot, and nothing else done.) Google can't understand content, but it can compare new content with old and see whether or not it's still the same. Also, with the new guidelines it seems like 800 words or so is the magic number for Google-love. So it stands to reason that if your old article was 250 words and the new one is 900, Big G will like you more.

Completely agree about the writing for the end reader, though. And the point about visitors staying longer/sharing is right on.

Agree with this also. With blogger if they decide to delete your account you can lose all of your files (assuming you don't have them backed up somewhere else, of course). Wordpress is a much better option.

Yes I do noticed it that when I have updated my old blog posts (2-3 years old) they have gained some visibility. About the length I now write about 800-1200 per article, I mean it keeps going on and on, so these articles tend to get ranked faster.

I have a couple more noob questions...

    1. I have created a simple squeeze page for a free e-book. Can I just post a link to this in the "free stuff" section of Craig List, or will my account be banned immediately for spam?

    2. I started building a web presence around the book.

    My plan is as follows...

    1-create product.
    2-create squeeze page+auto-responder sequence
    3-create blog with 20+ posts
4-promote blog posts and book on social media.. release to affiliates

    Then what?

    5-begin next product maybe?

Truth is, I have a TON of ideas I want to create information products around, and plenty of time to write and create them.

I really want a "set-it-and-forget-it" strategy, so I can pump out the products and see if one blows up. But how far should I go with a product before letting go of it? When is a flop a flop? When can I move on? When will I KNOW?

Any advice for a system of doing this so I can utilize more of a test-it-and-rest-it or set-it-and-forget-it approach?

If you are looking for a free e-commerce option for WordPress you should try WooCommerce plugin. Really simple to use too.

Seems like all the answers take care of the rest of your questions.

    Good luck with it!

You have got the system. Down but the traffic method is off. If you want to get some traffic try taking out an add in the local newspaper, sending out flyers, and then hit the online traffic hard. Solo's, forum posting, videos are huge, get a ton of social back links, get out into groups on fb and post useful stuff. Hit sites in you niche and buy some banners. Tons of simple stuff for traffic.
