What is best method for getting opt-in entries?

Well, I've been struggling to get more and more opt-in entries onto my client's website, He gave me a video and few lines of text and his affiliate link. So I'd tried facebook groups, yahoo answers, adf.ly , email marketing campaigns but still I don't have enough entries onto his aweber list.

But still having lack of registrations. Any thoughts ?

    Hi - I'd like to know, is your client using any sort of free report/eBook, etc. in return for an opt-in? Since I have added a free eBook to my opt-ins, I have started getting regular subscribers to my list. It seems that people still like to get something for free. It makes them more willing to opt-in.

    Yes, that's the way to go. There has to be a good incentive for people to want to opt-in. Even a discount or promo coupon would help

    In my opinion, that video is not good for generating leads.. whoever did it needs to seriously study copy writing.
    heck, a simple headline and 5 bullet point benefits would do better

    he needs to scrap that video.

    I once had a squeeze page with video that simply showed me logging into my clickbank accounts. no speaking - just some music. next to it was an optin form. nothing else, no mention of what the form was for, or even what they were opting in for - **nothing**. And it converted at over 30%.
